Chapter 18: Hello I am Tree Paine

Taylor's Pov

June 2013

"Sorry I am so late." Lupe's says as soon as she enters our apartment, "As soon as we landed I jumped on abuelos plane."

A smile coming across my face as soon as I see her set her stuff down.

"You aren't late yet, we were just about to leave." I told her as she nodded her head giving me a tight hug.

"I missed you baby." She tells me holding me close, she had honestly been so busy the past few months.  She and Maverick were in the middle of meeting with different managements for their foundation.

By the time we made it to the offices, I could see Tree already in the meeting room.

"You are sure about this sweetheart?" My mom asked as I nodded my head.

"I think she is going to be good for me, we always need more strong women." I told her as she smiled nodding her head. 

"So where is my daughter in law? I thought she was going to be in today? Isn't this where you want to see her plan with Lupe?" She asked as I pointed behind her, there my wife stood next to Erica. My assistant had made sure to go and get her some food even if we would probably be eating after this. 

My mother's head shaking as soon as her eyes were on her, before the two of us making our way into the conference room.

I could see her messing with some papers as we finally enter the conference room, she standing as we do.

"Hello I am Taylor." I greet her holding out my hand as she shakes my hand before finally saying "Hello I am Tree Paine."

"It's very nice to finally meet you, I know we've been talking and emailing back and forth. But it is nice to meet you." I tell her as I finally take a seat, everyone else following suit. "Can we get you anything? A water? Tea?"

"A water would be perfect." She answers with a smile as everyone else lets Erica know.

"Alright so I know you are planning on starting your own company this next year." I stated as she nodded her head waiting for me to continue.  "And as you know Paula is planing to resign, with what I am planning I know everyone isn't happy about that fact. Especially with my relationship."

Tree's Pov

Relationship? Is all that is going through my head as I look over at my assistant, who is looking over at me with same look.

Our look is broken up when we are both handed water bottles. "Thank you's." Coming from the both of us. 

"You said relationship? As far as we know you aren't in one correct?" I ask as I look through most of the information that we had compiled.

"I mean that is what the media thinks, but the media also thinks other certain things as well." She says as I see her look at her team that seem to be saying many things with their looks.

The many NDAs that were sent from her team, I knew it was something that she wanted to keep a secret.

"This is always fun to see how people will react." She finally said after studying me and checking in with her assistant.

We watched as her assistant disappeared once again before coming back in now with someone next to her.

"This is Lupe Wright." She finally said as the girl now stood next to where she sat, the two in a discussion.
