Daisuke stared up at the ceiling of his room. He couldnt sleep. He guessed it was because he missed home, but he couldnt tell exactly. Being in space was weird. It feels like you cant actually see almost anyone, but everyones in your sight at the same time.

He grabbed his gameboy, and started messing with it. He didnt want to be too loud as to not wake the others. He knew Swansea would probably lecture him on staying up then being tired on the job. Not like he would be doing much anyways.

He sat up, remembering something. He had overheard Captain talking to Jimmy about how he lost something in the cockpit and asked him to see if he had seen it.

He was never allowed in the cockpit, they didnt want him to click something he wasnt supposed to. He wasnt THAT irresponsible. Was he..?

He stood up, putting his blankets into place. He didnt usually make his 'bed' (or whatever excuse for a bed pony express got them), but maybe if it looked like someone was laying in it nobody would suspect a thing.

He laid his gameboy next to his bed, and walked towards the door, gently opening it as to not make any noise. He looked out, not seeing anybody, before quickly but quietly making his way to the cockpit.

—————

He made it away from the sleeping quarters, and headed down the hall towards the cockpit. He hasnt even SEEN inside. Was this a bad idea? What would happen if he gets caught? He pushed those thoughts away and continued toward the door. He could find the item Curly needed and they wouldnt mind hopefully. He just wanted to help.

He made it to the door, and the automatic opening surprised him. It was sort of loud, atleast loud compared to the silence during the night.

He walked through the door. He just hoped nobody payed any mind to it. Atleast if it did wake the crew, they would probably just assume its Curly checking on something. If Curly wakes up.. he doesnt know what he will do.

Soon enough, he finally wanders into the cockpit while in thought. The control panel knocking him out of thought.

His eyes lit up almost immediately, and a smile appeared on his face.

So many buttons.

Shiny buttons..

Seemingly forgetting why he was originally there, he sat in the pilots seat and spun around. He looked at the buttons, drifting his hand along, though not pressing anything as to not break the ship.

It seemed to have been awhile that he was just staring at the buttons in awe, and he heard the rest of the crew starting to stir around the lounge. He looked up and noticed a warning on the screen. He panicked and ran over to the locker, hoping there was something in there to help.

He opened it and looked around, noticing a key. He grabbed it and ran over to the control panel, noticing a red button. It was locked. With shakey hands, he grabbed the key and unlocked the button.

He slammed his hand down on the button. There was a worse warning on the screen now.

Crash imminent.

Everything turned red. Oh god its flashing. Everythings so loud. Everythings so bright.

What did he do. He didnt mean to.

He dropped the key and ran out of the room, making it slightly outside the cockpit before collapsing on the ground in sobs. He didnt mean to. He thought the button would help.

Through blurry sight, he noticed Curly running towards the cockpit. He tried to apologize, but Curly just ran past him. He couldnt say sorry. Curly didnt notice him. He could hardly speak through his cries anyways. His guilt for pressing that button felt like it was taking all the speaking ability in his throat away.

He watched at Curly ran into the cockpit, well whatever blurry figure of him he could see. The last thing he saw and heard was a loud bang and the feeling of falling, then him being engulfed by the darkness.

—————

He woke up with a pounding headache. He couldnt tell what room he was in, all he saw was blue and white, and all he could hear was the faint noise of people speaking. He sat up, making the headache even worse.

He mumbled to himself, before he felt a hand on his shoulder. Adjusting his eyes to the bright lights, he noticed Anya was beside him.

"Dont move too much, I dont want you loosening your bandages. We dont have many left, after the crash.. "

She glanced over to another section of the room, which he couldnt see in. Her voice was soft and comforting, compared to the stinging of his wrist and the burning in his head. He now noticed bandages that went from his palm to across his forearm.

"What.. even happened..? Last i remember was.."

Oh. Right. That. Maybe dont tell them that. Nobody knows what could happen if you in tell them you crashed the ship.

Anya just looked at him worriedly as he went silent. She just guessed he couldnt remember. She patted him on the head, and he flinched at it slightly.

"I need to check on Captain Curly.. If you need anything just say my name."

That must be who was in the corner. He just hoped Captain wasnt too badly injured.
