In this world, royals are born with gifts, they are powerful, respected, and strong. They protect and provide. They lead the people with their power and influence their kingdoms

I was the crown prince of Falmouth. Sora, but I was born giftless. Even so my father paid no mind and continued training me for the throne. Every day, multiple lessons, multiple training sessions, punishment times. Hesitation wasn't allowed, a thought wasn't enough, uncertainty was never welcome. I was known as the perfect prince the one who could change the world. I had brought many changes before, the rate of poverty decreases greatly, the trade roads repaired, the country flourished under my decisions. I was respected, I was untouchable.

But today was different .
My heart felt like it would found out of my chest. The sound of my footsteps echoing in the empty castle halls. For some peculiar reason, most of the staff was absent today, the suspicion crept into my spine, and a feeling of dread clenched at my heart. Something was going to happen, and I was about to find out what. The king—my father, had called me to his chambers, his note concise without much detail. The lack of information did little to ease the blankets of anxiety that felt as if they were being thrown upon me.

I reached the kings chamber, taking in a sharp breath before knocking

Three. Sharp. Knocks— mustn't delay

One of the many rules drilled into me for, the etiquette classes forced upon me from the age of five.

The large gray doors swooshed open, the sudden motion starting me slightly. Behind the heavy metal doors stood my parents. My father known as the king of Falmouth stood before his desk, his gaze tracking my every movement like a predator watching its prey. He looked over me as I made my way towards him.

10 steps, each 5 inches apart from each other.

Never look the king in the eye

Always kneel before stating your presence

Head should be held low infront of any noble higher then a baron.

The etiquette classes flashed through my mind, playing like a record that would never cease

"Crown prince in your present you majesty."
