•• Nina's pov ••

Ian and I wait patiently in the lobby at the doctors office.

"Nina Somerhalder?" A lady says as she steps out of a door.

Ian and I stand up and walk over to her.

"Hi, I'm Nina." I smile at her.

"Hi guys, right this way." She smiles and leads us down the hall to a room.

"How are you doing today?" She asks.

"Good. Just waiting to see the baby." I say.

"Right. Dr. Stanley will be with you shortly." She says and leaves the room.

Ian wraps his arms around me, pulling me into his chest.

"Good morning!" Dr. Stanley says as he enters the room.

Ian steps back and shakes his hand.

"Did you guys have a good Christmas?" Dr. Stanley asks.

"We did, yeah. How about you?" Ian says.

"I did as well. My kids woke my wife and I up at 6:00 in the morning to open presents." He laughs.

"I can't wait for that." I say.

"Does your daughter sleep in?" He asks us.

"She does. She goes to sleep around 8:30 or 9:00 and wakes up at 8:00 or 9:00." Ian says.

"Enjoy that while it lasts. My kids wake up at the crack of dawn." Stanley says.

"Well we are used to that with our choice of a career." Ian laughs.

"Right!" Stanley laughs with him.

"Okay Nina lets lay back here and get started." Dr. Stanley says.

----

"Okay so here's the baby again." Dr. Stanley shows us.

"I'm going to go look at something. I'll be right back." He leaves the room.

Ian stands up and looks at the screen closer.

"It's so small." He says.

"Is it weird I don't remember seeing Harlow like this?" I say.

"I don't either. Time goes by so fast." Ian says.

Dr. Stanley walks back in.

"Alright let's see, any morning sickness?" He asks.

"Yeah, I usually get it in the middle of the day." I say.

"Any other pregnancy symptoms?" He asks again.

"Headaches and frequent bathroom breaks." I say.

"Okay, all normal." He says.

"Dr. Stanley, we leave to London tomorrow. I just want to make sure it's okay for her to travel?" Ian asks.

"She will be fine. Just make sure to rest on the flight and when you get to London. Rest is a big factor when you're traveling that distance and being pregnant. We don't want you to stress your body." Dr. Stanley says.

"Okay, thanks." Ian says.

"When will you guys be back?" Dr. Stanley asks.

"January 3rd. So next Thursday." I say.

"I'm going to schedule you to come in that following Monday, is that fine?" dr. Stanley says.

"Yeah of course." I say.
