"What remark? I was simply highlighting the truth she was hiding with her lies."
"And you knew what the consequences of such an action would be?"
"Of course, she wouldn't accept our offer and sooner or later her planet would go kaboom."
"Y/N this is your 5th visit of us due to your behavior issues which leads to you being unable to form an alliance with the planet you are sent to. These kinds of results are far from acceptable."
"Which is why we've decided to assign you a partner."
Y/N's confident expression and smug smile faded instantly.
"A what now?! I thought I made myself clear when I said I worked alone."
"And we thought we were clear on better behavior. Topaz, you may come inside."

To say Y/N was mesmerized by her beauty and elegance would be a severe understatement. The way she carried herself, her confidence, her figure, that was all Y/N needed to be head over heels in love. But his ego wasn't gonna allow him to be all sweet with her. This was against his will and he was not happy about it.
"Y/N meet your new partner, Topaz. All you shall do now is document the kind of species on the planet and make a map. She will do the talking."
"So you're demoting me?"
"In technicality, yes."
"But-"
"End of meeting. You are dismissed."
As if waiting for confirmation from one of the elderly, the platform beneath the feet of both Y/N and the new girl began to move and soon, they found themselves outside the office. Neither knew what to say or do and stood there for some moments. Unable to think of anything and immensely disappointed that he no longer was able to manipulate the higher ups as he was once able to, Y/N headed off to his room.
"Those old shits have to be kidding. There's no way I'm gonna work with someone, let alone a woman!" Y/N whined in his room.
He continued his little temper tantrum for a surprising amount of time. He did end up calming down but it was already time for his next mission. His wristwatch lit up with a ring. He checked it in hopes to see some sort of good news regarding the little incident, only to realize his suffering was only about to get worse.
"Already?! I just came back!"
With a sigh, he swung his legs off his bed and got ready for the next mission.
Soon, he arrived at the ship that was to transport him and Topaz to the new planet. He found himself unable to take his eyes off her because no matter how many planets he had explored, he had never dated a woman in his life. No one had ever entranced him the way she did and he was going to make sure to seize this opportunity.
