No Strings Attached

A friendly game

Frank: "Not really, but what could we do about it?"

Vaggie: "Win."

Frank: "Weren't you just listening to me just now, we can't win. It would take a miracle."

Vaggie: "Then we'll just have to create one."

Frank: "...This is stupid... William is mine. Only I get to take him."

Vaggie: "No complaints here."

Inside a factory, loud noises could be heard coming from inside. Clanging and whistles were heard resounding along with mechanical laughter.

Pentious: "See egg! This is my greatest work yet!"

Frank(Egg): "Wow boss, truly stupendous!"

Pentious: "With this, I will soon become the winner of this competition!"

Frank(Egg): "Yeah boss. Let's show them."

Pentious: "I just need to test it first."

Frank starts waving his hands around yelling, eyes sparkling.

Frank: "Oh! Do me, Do me, boss!"

Pentious: "Aha, marvelous idea!"

Sir Pentious aims at the Egg, ready to fire.

Eyes everywhere dot towards the city, where a giant explosion could be heard from the distance. Smoke rises from the abandoned factory. Everyone thought the same thing.

Everyone: "Pentious."

As it was to confirm their thoughts the announcement was made soon after.

Announcer: "Players, Pentious and Egg boiz Frank are out!"

William: "Well that was surprising. Not."

Charlie: "Come on! Have a little more faith in him!"

Will: "Faith? In him? Not a chance, sure he's harmless. But I wouldn't trust him to have my back in any situation."

Charlie sighed, things hadn't been going well for her snake friend. With almost everyone not liking him at the start, it was hard for Pentious to get along with the others. His boisterous personality did not exactly help.

Thankfully Aloe had been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and became good friends because of it.

Will: "...Go check on him. I know you enough to know that you won't stop worrying about him until you know he is safe."

Charlie: "Are you sure? The game is still going on."

Will: "Yes I'm sure. Here."

William made a wrapping motion around Charlie's hand. She in turn felt something around her hand but couldn't see anything.

Charlie: "What did you do?"

William looked at her and without moving his lips asked.

Will: "Can you hear me? "

Charlie: "Yes, but how are you doing that."

Will: "I wrapped an invisible string on your hand, it will let us communicate over long distances."

Charlie: "Neat."

Will: "Now go. I'm sure he's in quite a deal of pain."

Charlie: "Ok, thank you."

Charlie then made her way towards the rising column of smoke.

Will "Don't forget to tell me if you see anybody else."
