3 days later

Y/n's pov:

I was currently in my mansion, in my room. I enjoyed the peace this day brought me. I didn't worried about work as a princess, about my future husband, and-

The balls.

I always hated this kind of things.
It kind of reminded me of the love I didn't believe in, and,

I just couldn't dance.

When a said event happened I just stood in the corner watching all couples dance.

Maybe that's not the only thing.

My mind flashed to my 15teens, when I was attending to school.

I was in love.

He was always so gentle, so... kind, I-

I didn't even know his name.

One day he spoke to me, I was really confused, but listened; he invited me to the school ball, and asked me to be his dance partner.

Hm.

On the day of the ball I found out this was all a joke. They made fun of me, they just well...

Made me even more hateful about love.

A few tears landed on my hands as I went to my bed. I shoved myself up the pillows and took out my favorite book that Kazuha used to read me when I was little. I said I hate love, though this book has a deep meaning to me. It always calmed me down. It was a drama, about two lovers, not being able to be together. Kazuha said its really rare and not many demons have it, so I just stayed in my imaginary world myself.

I looked at the cover which presented a tall tower, from what a girl was looking down at her lover. The tittle said:

"Romeo and Juliet"
I looked down to see the author. It was practically messed up by the dust so I blew it off and saw the little print which said:
"William Shakespeare"

I never heard of that demon...

I opened the first page to see small letters, on a musty paper. I brought the book up to my face to smell the calming scent of old book.

I started reading. Although it was in another language that Kazuha teached me.
She always repeated:
"You can't say a word about that book and language I gave to you, understood?"

I always thought that its kind of weird for her to say this but I always ignored it.

I was about to turn the page to the next one when-

"RISE N' SHINE Y/N!"

I came back to reality. My mother was standing in front of me as I laid on my bed. I slowly stood up and moved my feet to the ground.

"Yes, mother?"

My mother always had a happy expression on her face. She, completely different then me, loved balls. She then talked to parents of princess' and prince's of mine age, and enjoyed it pretty much.

I can't help it. (Asmodeus Alice x reader)Where stories live. Discover now
