The Sleepover

"AND ACTION" I shout. Chris runs around on the sofa wearing Batman shorts, a superman cape, and a spiderman mask. He isn't wearing a shirt but he does have the letter C painted on his chest to try make him look more heroic than dumb, but to be perfectly honest, it doesn't help. I follow the camera with Chris's movements and then move the camera toward Nathan. That was his que to start.

"Oh no! Someone save me from these two scary men who want to beat me up for no reason." Nathan shouts in a high pitched voice. Nathan is supposed to be acting as a woman so he is wearing one of my loose dresses, some of my high heels, and we even went as far as putting red lipstick and black mascara on him just so it looks better.

Nathan has his back against the wall and I move the camera towards Matt and Nick, who are both wearing all black and ski masks. Nick cracks his knuckles and then he begins pounding his fist in his hand as he gets closer to Nathan and Matt just stands there. Matt looks like he's bored out of his mind.

"Don't worry, pretty lady, all you have to do is give me all the money in your purse and we will let you go without a scratch." Nick tries to say in a deep voice, but it doesn't really sound good because his voice is naturally higher than Matt and Chris's, who are his triplet brothers by the way. Nick also happens to be the oldest, then Matt is the middle child while Chris is the youngest.

"Is there a problem?" Chris says as he places a hand on Matt's shoulder. Matt rolls his eyes and sighs loudly. "No, there is no problem. We were just leaving." Matt says dryly before him and Nick turns around and walks away.

"Ok, ok. CUT!" I shouted as Chris was about to say his next line. "What!? This is the best part! Why did you stop us?" Chris complains as he pouts on the floor like a child. Mind you that we are all 21. Then again, Chris acts like a child all the time, I mean, he is wearing Batman shorts with the letter C painted on his chest for goodness sake.

"Yeah why did you stop us? I think that was probably the best that we have done." Nathan says as he starts taking off the heels he was wearing, making him instantly shorter than me. He notices this and puts the shoes on again. "I'm starting to like these shoes, Melanie. I like being taller than you for once." Nathan says. "Ooh, ow. But to be honest with you they hurt like heck." he continues as he takes them off again, making him go back to natural height, at my shoulders. "Yeah, yeah Nathan. If you like them so much you can just take them home with you." I say sarcastically while looking back at the footage that I had just captured.

I heard Nathan gasp beside me and then he said "Can I really?" Slowly I look at him and respond "No, Nathan! You are not taking my high heels home with you! Anyways, do you guys even want to do this? Be honest. Because it doesn't seem like you boys want to." I say. "Well I do. This is fun, plus it's helping you with your directing class so that is even better." Chris says still lying on the floor as he pulls the Spiderman mask he has been wearing off and throws it to the side.

"Yeah, no. I'm having a blast over here. It has always been my dream to beat up Nathan while he is dressed up as a woman with make up on and everything." Nick giggles while slightly nudging Matt's arm. "Alright, I'm going to bed. I'm tired." Matt says as he takes off his ski mask and throws it at Chris who is still laying on the floor with his hands over his eyes. "Good night children." Matts says as he starts to turn around and go up stairs.

"Woah, woah, woah! Where do you think you are going?" I say as I chase after him and grab a hold of his arm. "No sir, this is a sleepover so we are all sleeping down here in the fort." I explain as I walk him over to our poorly built fort that Nathan and Chris had both made. Matt rolls his eyes and walks to the couch. He pulls his phone out of his pocket and I'm guessing that he was going through TikTok because of the noises that were coming from his phone. "Ok then, Matt's being a buzzkill already, so let's just continue with the next scene." I say as I grab the camera and start messing with the settings.

Once I set them to what I like, I start getting Chris and Nathan to their spots. Chris was still laying on the floor so I did the only thing I thought could possibly get him up. I set my camera down, and I jumped on him. " Get up, get up, get up! Don't tell me you're tired nowwww!" I drag on as I vigorously shake his entire body, yet he still doesn't move. "Ugh. Whatever." I complain as I begin to get up.

Suddenly an arm snakes around my waist and I'm being thrown back into the ground. "That hurt Melenie!" Chris says as he starts wrestling me. Because Chris and I were laughing and moving around so much while wrestling, we caught Nathan and Nicks attention too and they both simultaneously yelled "WRESTLE WAR" and started wrestling each other too.

After a few minutes of wrestling, I finally pinned Chris down. I was sitting on his back and holding one of his arms against the ground while I held his other arm up against the air towards me. "Dang it Melanie! How did you do that?" Chris complains as he tries to squirm his way out of my grasp, failing in the end. "Well, I'm just good like that. It's not like any of you guys could win against me." I brag while watching Nathan also pin Nick down the same way I did with Chris. "Yes Nate!" I say hyping him up.

"We are unstoppa-" Then I'm cut off by another person tackling me to the ground and pinning me on my back. "Oh look, I stopped you." Matts says with an attitude as he sits on me. He hadn't gotten my hands yet so I grabbed his arm and yanked towards me, causing him to fall on top of me. Then I rolled us over so I was on him and grabbed his hands so he couldn't get out of my grip. "I wasn't ready for that." Matt says in a whiny tone. "Womp womp. Suck it up buttercup. I don't want to hear your excuses." I say as I get off of him and help him up. Nathan gets off of Nick and when Nathan reaches out his hand to help Nick up, Nick pulls Nathan's arm and starts tackling him again.

Suddenly there is a loud crack sound, followed by Nathan yelling in pain. "Owwww, I just landed on something hard." Nathan complains. Both boys get up to find a crushed camera on the ground. "NO. WHAT DID YOU GUYS DO!" I scream as I rush over to my camera to see how bad the damage was. "Guys, this is my only camera!" I say, worried that I won't be able to finish my assignment. I checked to see if the card inside was damaged and thankfully it wasn't. "Melanie, I'm so sorry" Nathan says as he comes over to me and puts a supporting hand on my shoulder. "Yeah, it was an accident. I shouldn't have been clowning around when the camera was right there. I'm really sorry Melanie." Nick says as he walks over to me and gives me a hug.

While this is happening I see Matt walk over to the counter in the kitchen and pick up the car keys and then he says "Alright, let's go. We are going to Best Buy to get you a new camera." I look up in confusion but don't question him. I stand up and hear Chris say "Wait, I wanna go too!" "Yeah, me too!" Nathan chimes in. I turn around and look at both of them, Chris standing in batman shorts and C painted on his chest and Nathan in a dress with makeup on. "Umm, change, and then you can." Nick says as he walks over to Matt.

I grab my purse and put my hair in a messy bun. I was already wearing comfy black pajama pants and a white T-shirt so I didn't have to change but everyone else did. Once everyone was ready we all loaded up in the car. Matt was driving, Chris was in the passenger seat, Nick was behind Matt, I was behind Chris and Nathan was sitting in the last row. On the ride to Best Buy, Chris blasted Lil Skies songs on AUX the entire time and we all sang along with the songs.

Once we get there we go straight to the camera section and I see the exact camera that I had before. I call one of the workers there and tell them I want to buy it. They took it to the front desk and I paid for it. After I bought my camera, we went to Dairy Queen and all got ice cream. Once we finished our ice cream, we went back to the house and I set up the camera. The boys all got dressed in their outfits again and we took it from the top. After about 2 hours of videotaping and editing the video, it was ready. I sent it to my professor and then closed my laptop.

That night we all slept in the fort but I woke up because I had a nightmare that\ I had failed my assignment but when I went onto my laptop to check my grade, I made a 98%. My professor wrote a small note just saying tips on how to do better but I was just glad that I passed. I close my laptop with a smile. This was probably the best sleepover ever!
