Chapter 1 The Engagement

Chloe's POV

The warm sticky air of July hit my face. The door opened to show Josh. I smiled and led him inside luckily my parents weren't home and neither was Clara. Brushing my curly hair out of my face. I take his cold hand and led him to be he couch. His smile brightens my day and at that moment my day was brighter than the sun.

" Hey so what did you want talk to me about?" I asked. " Well," he started, " I wanted to ask you something, but first I wanted to say happy 18th birthday" he stated. "Thank you" I replied smiling like an idiot. "And," he rolled off the couch goofily, " close your eyes" nervously I closed my eyes "Open" he almost yelled.

I slowly opened my eyes to see Josh. Down on 1 knee with a black box.
He quickly flipped the box open and I saw a beautiful ring but all I cared about was what Josh said next, "Will you marry me, because I want to spend the rest of my life with you to have and to hold." " Yes, yes, yes, a million times yes." I burst out into tears. I bent down and kissed him lightly on the lips. 3 seconds later Josh and I put our foreheads against each other and said the words that would change both our live forever,

" I am never letting go of you"
