Izuku was scared. He was going to high school with people he didn't know. After elementary school, Izuku isolated himself because he was bullied by his former best friend Katsuki Bakugo, a boy with blond hair and fiery red eyes. They drifted apart after 1st grade, and Izuku always wondered why but never bothered to ask. He knew high school would be a great opportunity to meet new people, but little did he know that another opportunity would soon be presented to him.

"RING" - a loud alarm blared, causing me to groan. I picked up my phone to turn it off and got up. I knew today was a very important day of my life - my first year of high school. I'm a 5'7 greenette with green eyes to match, skinny but fit. I stretched out my body a little, making my way to the bathroom for a shower.

I turned on the old slightly rusted metal faucet the water was cold at first I winched at the skin contact and stood under it until it ran hot I poured body wash on my washcloth and scrubbed every inch of my body I wanted to feel extremely clean I did this 3 times and it took about 20 minutes I turned off the faucet and grabbed my towel dried off as much as I could before getting out so I wouldn't soak the floor and made my way to my room.

I looked at myself in the mirror towel around my waist I fluffed up my green hair but other than that I didn't bother to try anything new the only other hairstyle I did was a man bun and that was usually during gym or at home. I reached into my closet getting the uniform it was a pretty normal white top, grey blazer, and pants, and a green plaid tie I put all these items on looked in the mirror once more took a deep breath, and felt I was ready.

I made my way to the living room and saw my mom in the kitchen "I'm leaving Mom I love you" the boy yelled to his mother she said I love you back I knew my mom wanted to worry I could tell but she must not have said anything to keep me from stressing I walked down the block seeing other people my age on the way to the same school the streets were quiet the sun rose but there was still a pink and orange sky seeing as it hasn't risen all the way.

I soon got very close to the school so lost in thought I barely noticed and then there I was standing there staring at the concrete pathway and the dark red old high school doors I looked at the folded schedule I had in my pocket home room 1-A I made my way inside the loud halls with tan tiles blue lockers I walked till I saw the gray door labeled 1-A when I walked in the first thing I see is Katsuki Bakugo he glared at me I went to the teacher to ask where my seat was seen as all the seat were in pairs I hoped I was with someone nice "next to the boy with blonde hair" the teacher answered with a smile I knew exactly who I nodded and sat next to him.

"Hi Kacchan" I spoke lowly

"still going with the stupid ass nickname so I guess I will to Deku" bakugo retorted.

"oh um s-sorry" I muttered.

"don't say sorry for stupid shit your gonna make me more annoyed than I already am dibshit" Katsuki complained.

I nodded not questioning him something about him today was still mean but he didn't bully he seemed more approachable could be puberty or maybe he was just turning over a new leaf but whatever it was it gave Izuku some sort of security he watched different kids walk in and sat quietly waiting for attendance.

Throughout the day, Izuku attended various classes where he learned different subjects. The classes started with the teacher introducing themselves and the course outline. Izuku remained hopeful despite feeling uncertain about Katsuki's sudden change in demeanor. It was hard to think or even breathe seeing as in every class you were paired with the same person and his pair was who he was trying to figure out. During the lunch break, Izuku found himself hesitating to approach Katsuki. Despite the tense atmosphere, he decided to take a chance and sit next to him at a vacant table.

"Hey, Kacchan, do you mind if I sit here?" Izuku asked softly, hoping for a positive response.

Katsuki looked at him for a moment, seeming surprised by the question. After a brief pause, he grunted in response, giving Izuku a subtle nod.

As they ate, the two exchanged a few words mostly bickering many people started a them knowing the two normally didn't speak to each other but chose to ignore it. The tension between them seemed to ease, and Izuku felt a glimmer of hope that their relationship could improve.

After lunch, the school day continued with more classes and interactions. Izuku remained cautious but optimistic, willing to give Katsuki a chance despite their troubled history.

As the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, Izuku couldn't help but reflect on the events that had transpired. Though uncertainties lingered, there was a faint sense of progress but honestly, he didn't know he never knew what went through the blonde's head this could have easily just been a way to tease him.

As Izuku left the school building, he couldn't shake the feeling of uncertainty. He dreaded the thought of returning to a state of isolation and bullying. Despite the temporary ease in tension, he knew that building a lasting friendship with Katsuki would take time and effort.

With these thoughts in mind, Izuku made his way home, contemplating the events of the day. He wondered why now after all these years he had decided to change.

Upon arriving home, he found his mom in the kitchen and began recounting the day's events, leaving out the fact he and Katsuki were talking again Inko thought the two were always close.

As the evening progressed, Izuku continued to mull over the highs and lows of his first day of high school. He realized that navigating teenage life, especially with past conflicts, would be challenging. However, he didn't want to overthink it so he found a sense of happiness in having a potential friend and wondered if he would make more most of the people in his class were from a different middle school than him so they didn't know him so he hoped he made and could make a good first impression.

In the calm of his room, he took out a journal and began jotting down his thoughts and feelings. There was always a recurring topic in the greenetes note book Katsuki this was because most of his life Katsuki was the one person who left him thinking the most.

Deep in his thoughts, he heard his mom call him down for dinnerIzuku returned home after a long day at school. As he prepared to have dinner, his mom called out to him from the kitchen. "Dinner's ready, Izuku! How was your first day at school?" she asked as if she hadn't already, a hint of concern in her voice.

"It was okay, Mom," Izuku replied, trying to sound more confident than he felt. He joined his mom at the table, and they chatted about his day while enjoying the meal she had prepared.

After dinner, Izuku cleaned up the dishes and then retreated to his room to prepare for bed. As he lay in bed, he reflected on the events of the day. Despite the uncertainty surrounding his relationship with Katsuki, he hoped it was genuine and not a way to tease him. With that thought in mind, he drifted off to sleep.
