Hellooo!!
Before we begin, I have a few things I would like to share with you.

First and foremost- this is a Jaya fic with no actual Jaya. Cruel, I know, but at least I'm nicer than the Dragons Rising writers and address the missing Jaya.

Second- this fic takes place between seasons one and two of Dragons Rising. I totally headcanon that they went to look for their missing friends during that time, but to no avail. That's the premise of the fic!

Third- To avoid any confusion, I'm writing down each character's name with the pronouns they use in my story below. Please be aware that these are my headcanons. You do not need to share them, but please, respect them.

Nya- she/her

Kai- he/him

Zane- they/he

Lloyd- he/him

Sora- she/her

Arin- he/him

Wyldfyre- she/her

I use he/him pronouns when talking about Jay and she/her when talking about Pixal.

Fourth- if I make any spelling or grammar errors (i.e., forgetting an apostrophe, using the wrong version of break, etc, PLEASE point it out to me! I fix errors when I see them, but I don't catch everything.

Fifth- I'll put trigger warnings at the top of chapters that have potential triggers in them. I do curse in my writing on occasion, but not excessively or with no cause. You will find "damn" and "shit" pretty regularly, though.

Sixth- I'll do my best to keep a regular update schedule, but I can't make any promises! Expect updates about every two weeks or so.

Update 1/17/25: I'm not adding any more parts for the time being. Am I done writing? Nope. But this fic is on a break until further notice. have fun though‼️
