Could her life get any better, New York, Beautiful, Successful what else could you want. The present is great but its the past that Juliet cant stand. None of her friends know, none of her colleges know, she doesn't tell even the ones close to her. But that one fateful day when Juliet spilt her Starbucks on that mysterious man, it was all about to change.
His name is Damion, His dark chocolate brown eyes, catch Juliet's glance. His soft Brunette hair sits perfectly atop his head, resting flawlessly around is chiseled face. HIs glance Melts Julliet in a moment, leaving her in a mushy puddle on the ground. She regains herself and picks herslef up from the mushy, gooey state she was in. There glances caught and she quickly said sorry and dashed off, bright red with embarrassment. Juliet took off, her speed was no match for the mysterious man. Her embarrassment fueled her speedy escape.
The next day Juliet starts her usual routine again, as she walked in through the glass doors of the Starbucks shop, a man hops up infront of her, making her jump a little bit, it takes a while for her eyes to focus on him but as her vision clears she sees that its the man from yesterday, "Hello, Remember me?" he says politely taking a step back. " Hello, I'm so sorry about yesterdays coffee incident," She replied. "Well, you could make it up to me by having a coffee with me right now." he asked. "Umm.. Sure, but not today I'm on a tight schedule with work and all, maybe another time," Juliet said as she took her coffee order and left.
The next day again Juliet entered the Starbuck cafe and saw the man, sitting reading his newspaper, Juliet tryed to slip in without being noticed, but that plan failed. He poped up, again asking to have coffee together, Juliets reply was "Sorry agian, but something just popped up at work and i ran here to get a caffine top up," She said with a guilty look on her face. This happend day after day, for about a month.
One day as Juliet went to pick up her order, Clyde the barrister whispered "You know he likes you," to Juliet and glanced over to the man sitting in the corner. "Go sit with him," He said. Juliet caved and with her cup of smoking hot Chai Latte, took a seat opposite the man. He took a peak over the top of his newspaper and raised his eyebrows. "I thought you would never come." He said still reading his newspaper. "Well, I have been busy lately." She replied.
As he folded up his newspaper he stared deep into Juliet's eyes, it was like he was looking into her soul. Juliet stared back, it wasn't just normal staring it was really starring deep into a person, trying to find your way through the labyrinth of their thoughts, emotions and secrets. This man can see deep into Juliet, further than anyone else could, he look beneath the beautiful surface and into her broken soul.
"I'm Damion," He said after the long pause. "Hi, I'm Juliet," She replied. "Are you from around here?" He questioned. Juliet replied saying, "no, I'mfrom Georgia but i've been living here for about 9 months now, You?" "Born and raised" Damien said back standing there still looking deep into her. Juliet's phone rang, it was her boss, demanding the drafts for her fashion spread within the next ten minutes. "I got to run. See you again," Juliet said as she jumped up and shot out of the door. "Bye," Damien said with a soft tone.
Juliet sat at her desk and sorted through paper, Juliet's friend Samantha lent over the dividing wall between there desks and asked why she was so late today. Juliet didn't rely want to tell her, but its hard to hide things form her best friend. Samantha spun around her chair after the long pause and started to interrogate her with questions. "Where you in an accident?" "Where you with a man" "Where you in trouble?" Samantha didn't leave room between questions to let Juliet answer. "SHUT UP!" screechedJuliet. "I'll talk! Just not now, meet me tomorrow morning in Starbucks at 6am sharp!" "Ohkaay? Sure thing" said Samantha in a questioning tone.
