I lay down from thirst from hunger, hoping to soon go end the pain, sleep forever tho my word in vain, shiver and shudder, laying down, my tail tweaking hoping for sound,I struggle to put my paws on flat ground, "He's sleeping, He's faking" human accuse me, but the shiver is mine, I feel the cold wing running through my fur, "Cats are obedient! Not a care in the world!" Sure there words hurt as I lay there still,winters coming anyway I feel it in the earth if I don't get I'm bear food anyway, I've been here for ages! No bear to care, the prefer running dear, meat warm with life, I'm just a lousy cat fearing for life, curling up in a ball hoping for a sense a sense of water,food a sense of sense, I can't really complete this goal, I'll have to sand, four paws to say, ears open, ready for prey though I can't for energy never comes,never came, there's, "I could try" I think everyday but maybe today's different as I Sit up lay straight, my paws muster the energy to stand, once again I stand on all fours,still weak from hunger, my fur still ruffled tail flopped, I slowly move I slowly smell, slowly sniff ears dropping in defeat, nothing. I fear there's nothing to smell, nothing taste, air all around oxygen to smell, I try again stepping forward, I sniff, I smell move forward I hear rushing water, joy filled my body smoothed my fur, I bolted towards slowly losing energy, breathing in and out "maybe I don't die, end in a lifeless slumber,but live and finally taste water" I gained my confidence again feeling alive, knowing I'm hidden my black fur, hidden,with the night, as I wander towards the water I hear my name coming back, it fits me, I'm becoming myself "Ollie" did I forget? I don't remember it repeats in my head until I can hear......The water flowing the rushing river I run my tail high in the air! Ears pircked up I walked some more until I can see a sliver of water, water for me I run again standing at the edge, we used to be lawless now at the rivers edge "pawless river" the words in my head I start to drink, the river flowing, it's cold and perfect a pawless river a Ollie at the edge, gained back confidence a lively cat once again, a pawless river oh water so great you help us thrive from feline to ape, pawless river oh your so kind, sharing your water to those in need, oh pawless river one to be.
