Tadashi Yamaguchi was always bad at understanding others. he never knew what words to say when others needed comfort, hell he couldn't even comfort himself. he would stand there motionless without a word, confused, worried, scared.

They called him a freak. He was so clueless when it came to others it made people avoid him. He didn't know how to react to the bullying, Yama was 'different' from the other kids, and it frightened him. Day by day there was the constant nagging he received from his classmates.

"What's that on your face? You're disgusting."

"What're you staring at ugly? What's your problem?"

"If i were that pathetic, I would crawl into a hole and die."

It was nonstop. He didn't know what to do so he just took it, he cried and cried when lunchtime came, but without the teachers watching it only got worse. It got physical. they would scratch at his skin, calling him disgusting, they'd pull his colored hair and leave marks.

Yama's mother was late to picking him up after school, this was bad.

He saw a girl, one of the girls who often picked at him coming his was toward the bench, the teachers were talking at the playground, he couldn't go to them for help right now, he has to be a big boy and pull through.

She reprimanded Yama for about 2 minutes, calling him pathetic, ugly, and disgusting. He didn't know what to do, he didn't know what he could do, he just took it as his eyes began to swell up. Just before the first tear fell into his leg he heard a boy.

"Hey, what's your problem with picking on him?" the boy said, Yama then looked up to see a familiar blonde in front of him, he was relieved that someone was here to help, but why?

"Who the heck are you? and why are you helping this crybaby!!" the girl got close to the blonde yelling in his face pointing at Yama as she called him a crybaby. "He's not a crybaby, and why are you messing with him?"

"He's a weirdo!! look at the dots all over him!!! it's disgusting, and the way he just stands there and cries all the time is pathetic." She said looking back and forth between the blonde and and Yama with disgust.

"Those 'dots' are freckles. they're natural, unique and not something you can call 'disgusting' when your hair is terrible." The girl just stood there wide eyed as the blonde insulted her hair "And he's not pathetic, if anything you and your whole group are pathetic for making your life purpose to bully a helpless boy, go away and cry to your mommy or something."

The girls eyes started to swell up with tears as she tried to think of a comeback, but eventually the teachers were done talking and a Teacher walked over to keep the children company while they waited for their parents. When the teacher saw the girl crying she spoke behind Yamaguchi "What's going on here? Is everything okay?"

Her sudden speech made Yama jump and whip his head around only to see Abe-Sensei, the one teacher who kept Yama company when he was alone during lunch and recess. "This girl was bullying him!" the blonde said instantly as Abe-Sensei made her way to the three.

"Is this true Yamaguchi-Kun?" Abe-Sensei said looking at the boy with worry in her eyes. Yama stayed silent, afraid to say anything about the matter. "It's okay, you can tell me, you're not in trouble." Abe-Sensei put her hand on Yama's shoulder bending down to get a better look at him.

"Y-yes... she was picking on m-me and he helped me.." Yama eventually choked out through tears, that was all it took for Abe-Sensei to look at the girl and reprimand her for her behavior towards her classmate, "-And once again, that's not something you say to a classmate! what would your mother think?-" just as she said that another voice was heard, one of another Woman calling out to her daughter.

The girl then turned around and ran to her mother in tears, whilst the teacher made her way towards the girls mother to tell her about the situation, after they were done talking the girls mom made her way towards the two boys at the bench. "Hello, are you Yamahuchi-Kun?" she asked looking at Yama sitting on the bench, still looking at his knees.

"Y-yes ma'am... i'm sorry i-" before he could finish the woman apologized for her daughter's behavior, "-I promise this won't happen again! and if it does be sure to let your teacher know so she can tell me next time my daughter gives you a hard time. And thank you Tsukishima-Kun for protecting him, that was a really nice thing for you to do."

"It's okay Miss, i'm sorry i said mean things about her hair but she was being really rude to him earlier." the blonde said with his hands in his pockets, "It's fine, she needed a taste of her own medicine, i'll give her a talking to later. goodbye boys!! get home safe." the Woman said as she turned around and headed back into her car and drove off with her daughter.

Abe-Sensei had went inside to grab her belongings so it was just the two boys at the bench by themselves, Yama's mother still hadn't arrive but she should be close looking at his watch that read 3:38pm, mom was never later than 3:45 so that was a relief. Yama then looked back up to thank the Blonde for helping him but he was gone..?

When did he leave? 'I need to thank him tomorrow!' Yama thought to himself as he looked at his feet swing underneath the bench, eventually Abe-Sensei had returned and kept  Yama company as he waited for his mother. Around 3:44 mom had arrived and apologized to Isaac-Sensei for being late, "It's not problem!! i think Yamaguchi-Kun made a new friend today so it was worth it." She said with a big smile on her face, Yama's Mom then looked at him with joy as she said her goodbyes to Abe-Sensei and everyone departed home for the day.

After his bath and dinner Yamaguchi was up late thinking about the boy that had protected him earlier that day, he really was grateful and wanted to be sure to thank him tomorrow. What was his name again? i think they said Tsuki...??? Tsukishima? he wasn't sure, he'll ask about it tomorrow when he sees him again, Yamaguchi spent all nights thinking about how he would thank the boy and eventually passed out. He was so ready for tomorrow.
