Back to camp

Awaking again to Percy's long breaths, I knew he had another nightmare. I had to get my sleep because Auntie Beth was coming to New York. I was supposed to be meeting her that morning before school for a coffee. Instead, it was the middle of the night, I sat up in my bed and looked over at Percy's. I could see him sat up blinking in the dark.

"Hey." I asked whispering knowing that Maya and Tyson were sound asleep on the bedroom floor. "Another nightmare?"

"It was nothing." He answered back lying back down and turning over.

"Come on, Percy it wasn't nothing. We're demigods. The dreams we see are different to others." I whispered back. He was silent. "Percy?"

"You promise not to laugh? Because I know you don't like Grover that much..." He asked calmly and quietly sitting back up again.

"I do too like your goat friend!" I said half exclaiming while staying quiet.

"Well, I saw Grover being chased by a cyclops who's name I think is Polyphemus. That name rung a bell. From the stories my father told me as a child. "But then what was odd about it was that he entered a wedding shop, and it blew up. Then I heard his voice. Not Grover's but Polyphemus. Keira, I think Grover's in trouble." I squinted at him through the darkness of the room. I was just as confused as he was. "And then I saw a shadow, at the window."

"Will you two please shut up?!" Maya moaned from the sleeping bag on the floor. "We have our last day of school tomorrow." She then turned over and was back to being fast asleep followed by Percy leaving me the only person awake. asleep followed by Percy leaving me the only person awake. I was puzzled my brother's dream. So, instead of dwelling on it I got out of bed and went onto the vents outside Sally Jackson's apartment and sat staring into the open road thinking about my sister and where in the world she was right now.

The following morning, I awoke to one of the three of them hitting the floor with a thump. I sat up and saw it was Percy. I watched him as he stood up and brushed it off like it was nothing. I got out of bed and watched him struggle to put his clothes on. I chuckled It was the last day of school before we headed back to camp.

"Morning, Sally." I smiled walking into the kitchen first. Tyson was already in there. He beamed at me. I smiled back.

"Hi, Mrs Jackson." Maya copied appearing after me.

"Good Morning, Maya. Did you sleep well?" Sally asked her.

"Okay. I guess." She answered.

"Mom?" Percy called strolling into the kitchen in his hand he had, I don't know what it was it had a spoon on it though.

"Hey. Didn't expect you up for another hour." Sally said surprised.

"Yeah, well it's the last day of school." Can't miss that!" He replied trying to sound excited. I spat into my coffee. My brother excited about school. Never in a million years. Ignoring me and Maya, he placed the weird looking object on the table in front of me, Tyson and Maya. "Tyson is this yours?"

"What even is it?" I said taking a sip of my coffee then picking it up to have a closer look.

"It's a compass. So, I don't get lost." Tyson answered straightly.

"Awe, how cute." Maya joined in. Just as we were about to leave, Sally pulled Percy aside noticing he was a lot quieter than he usually was.

"What's on your mind, Percy. Spill." She questioned him abruptly. He glanced at me standing behind him.
