Chapter- 16. Funeral..

She walked out of there when the mayyat was over and the preparations for janaze ki namaaz were starting soon. It was almost night time. She walked out of the room first. Arshad stopped her.

"Noor, dekho mere saath jaana bohot khatra hai tumhari Jaan par."

"Kuch nahi hoga mujhe. Mera Allah mere saath hai." She forced a smile.

"Nahi tum yaha Bushra ki Ammi ke paas raho. Main janaze ki namaaz padhkar fauran tumhe Ghar chhod dunga par tum akele kahin mat jaana."

"Voh so chuki hain. Saari naukraniya Ghar mein hi Hain. Main jaa rahi hun. Meri tabiyat bhi thodi kharab ho rahi hai."

"Phir bhi thodi der ruk-"

"Tum Bushra ke janaze ki namaaz padho, mujhe aur janaze nikalne ki tayyari bhi karni Hain." A tear fell from her red eyes.

Aibak came out of a car that stopped in front. "Ghar Jaa Rahi ho, baccha?" He stepped on the doorstep.

"Ji." "Main chhod deta hun."

"Nahi, Mai khud chali jaungi, Bhai."

"Main chhod dunga.. Taxi karne se accha tum mere saath chalo."

"Nahi Bhai main khud chali jaungi aapko late ho jayega."

"Noor. Main tumhe drop karne aa raha hun. Bas. Khatm." He said a bit more sternly. He knew how stubborn Noor was.

She sighed and looked down. "Ji Aibak Bhai." She quietly sat down in the car and he shut the door for her. Arshad smiled even though he was quite hurt at least she was going with someone. The car started and for a while, there was an awkward silence between Aibak and Noor till he broke it.

"Kal Agency mein jaane waali ho?"

"Ji, Bhai."

"Vahan se nikal kar aur ghar pahunch kar mujhe call karna nahin bhulna."

"Ji Bhai." The car stopped in front of her house. Noor got out of the car.

"Khuda Hafiz." He said.

"Fiamanilla." She greeted him back.

"Khuda tumhen mehfooz rakhe." He blessed her.

"Ameen."

She stepped inside her house and headed to her room. Sitting down on the bed, she checked her phone. There were many messages asking her what happened. The news of Bushra's death wasn't out yet. Noor is always one of the first ones to get any important news related to the agency. But rumours had gotten out and everyone was curious to know what happened to Bushra that's why they were asking Noor and Arshad on the group chat. Noor didn't pay attention to their messages much and didn't like to text back but she knew that Arshad's phone was dead so she had to announce it. She wrote..

{Attention everyone, Agent 9 here.
Miss Bushra Abbasi also known as Agent 7 has unfortunately died in the middle of an unexpected attack during her investigation. Today was the funeral. All the ceremonies will be over till tomorrow. Kindly inform everyone who isn't present. The proper announcement will be done tomorrow. Do let the recruits of the new batch know too.
                            Thank you..}

Tears were streaming down her face writing those words. How could all of this happen. How could she leave like this. Without leaving any last calls. She was her friend, how could she do that. But Noor's life still has to go on, Right? It's not over yet. Is it? She still has to face everything. She wished this day would just be a part of a horrible dream or this day would just skip in her life or, or this day would never come in the year. Everything would go back to normal. She would attend her friend's wedding day. Help decorate her room, go shopping with her. She was so desperate for Bushra to come back. If she knew that this was going to happen she wouldn't let her go but she didn't. Why did she not call her once that day. Why did all this happen. She didn't even remember when was the last time she hugged her tightly. She didn't remember the last time they argued on the silliest thing or talked about something fun and special. She didn't remember the last time she called her just to ask how she was doing or to time pass and talk for hours like a friend. But they weren't friends like that. She was too busy saving others she forgot where she felt like home and it was surely not her large apartment. She cried and cried.

She didn't even know what was her last words. She was sure that Huda and Arshad were in bad state but Aibak Bhai and Raziya were in the worst. She was an agent but she really didn't think even in her dreams that she would lose one of her friends. She wished all this was a dream. She wished that it was all a prank. It was horrible to lose someone so special. It was horrible to know they won't come back. It was horrible to convince herself that her friend was dead. It was horrible to think that tomorrow she will wake up and go to the agency but won't bump into her, ask about her schedule or ask about her weekend plans.

How could this be so traumatic. It was after a great long while that she had felt this emotional. She hadn't took the dose all day. She was having an autistic melt down. Her hands were flapping and her head ached. She couldn't understand anything else. She wanted to run away. She wanted to escape or scream. She was controlling herself not to look like a crazy person that she was or the people around her made her think. She made the courage to stand up and put her hand on the table beside her which had a drawer of fidget toys. She took out a fidget stress ball and did her breathing excercise.

After about an hour she was back to normal but with many difficulties. Her breathing was still heavy. Her eyes were red. She wasn't sure by what time she had fallen asleep. But, she woke up at the normal time she does...
