3rd pov-
The roasters cawed at the break of daylight, waking the rest who were still sleeping, a new day had came and there was lots for the town to do. Unsurprising for Stella there were knocks at her door, knowing who it was she yelled a quick "come in" as she made coffee for her and her friend. Olivier walked in smiling ready for the day, he sat at the table as she handed him a coffee, he thanked her and got to the point "Today would be a great day to rebuild our walls, we can go to the closet town and get some supplies, you know we can't put it off much longer and it needs to be done before another storm or wave of zombies hit this area". Stella knew he was right but it was risky, she didn't want to lose anyone, she viewed everyone in the town as family, she would do anything to make sure they remain okay. She sighed as Oliver silently drank his coffee, he knew she had a lot to consider and that she would make the best decision for everyone, and she appreciated how he never pushed or rushed her.
Shaking her head, she asked who he was going to bring, knowing some had worked in the closest town before the outbreak, she would feel more comfortable with, Oliver chuckled "We both know who, me, Jason, Xavier, and Ryan, i was thinking to also bring Claire and Amanda to search for more medical supplies since we would be out anyways." Knowing who would be going set her mind at ease a bit "How bout taking Adrian so he can be with the girls in case something happened while they looked around?" Nodding Oliver pilled out his walkie and began informing the ones going of the trip so they can prepare, it could take a few hours to a day if they ran into trouble, there was a course of okays as he disconnected and looked at Stella. "How are you doing today, you know after yesterdays events?" Oliver asked as he got up to leave, he would never admit it to her but he worried, she had lost her grandfather after all. Stella got up and put on her shoes, "I'm okay as i can be thank yo-" she stopped mid sentience due to the weight that just ran into her leg, looking down she sees her son Kai. He looks up at her rubbing his eye and yawns, she crouches down and chuckles "Good morning sleepy head, i made your favorite, pancakes with grapes and orange slices, it on the table so go eat baby, I'm gonna walk out with Oliver, behave for you Dad". He smiled and ran as fast as he could to scarf down his meal.
Laughing Stella looked at Oliver and nodded to outside, they walked out and walked around the town doing rounds to check damage and on everyone, the last week there has been several zombies spotted, so they had anyone good with weapons doing shifts to make sure everyone remained safe. It wasn't ideal for the town but they were able to find more people and grow. Watching the little kids run around she is glad this is home "Can you also look for more building supplies, we'll need to build more houses if we continue finding survivors." Taking a mental note Oliver nodded as Laura ran up catching them both in a hug. "How are you two doing today?" Laura asked, she looked tired as she had been up making bread late into the night so that she could have most the day for her two kids. "We're okay just doing rounds before the team heads out for supplies" Stella says smiling, she has always been proud of her friends. Laura nods and runs off to her kids shouting a quick goodbye.
The two finish their rounds as the group is ready to go, Jason being his usually silly self as Amanda rolled her eyes with a quiet giggle. Everyone could see it between these two but they never talked about it. Walking to the gate Steven opened it as he waved and bid them a safe journey, "They will be okay Stella, don't worry so much okay?" Steven said trying to soothe the girls rising anxiety, "I know, i mean Oliver is leading them, he's one of the strongest here, you know I just worry." Steven sighs and walks back to his post. Turning Stella goes to start the work she has to do for the day, see everyone has a job in the town based off of skills and ability, Oliver was the head guard, Laura was the baker, Steven was the Gate keeper, Claire and Amanda were there town medics, Ryan, Allen, Adrian, Matt, Alex, Olivia and Maria were guards, then there were the barn workers Xavier and Beth, Howard, Rena, Isaac, and Jason were the farmer, Stella as well as Danielle were seamstress, now they also helped out where they could, like building the homes and such or make weaponry or cooked and watched the kids They all worked together to survive.
Hour later the group returns with the needed supplies, sweaty and out of breathe. They had ran into some trouble retuning home, thankfully no one got bite. Stella was relieved to say the least as she set out to help them rebuild the wall. As the day went on dinner was made and a fire was started , the kids chased after one another with Kai being in first, Allen walked up to Stella laying a kiss on her check she giggles and hugs him glad her fiancé returned safely. No one knew Oliver was sitting away from everyone mad because Allen had almost cost them their lives today, he was gonna inform Stella later after most had got to bed. the night went on filled with laughter and stories, soon the children were yawning and laying in the laps of their parents, drifting into sleep. Everyone said goodnight and returned to their homes, just as Stella was getting up to put Kai to bed Oliver grabbed her arm gently and asked to speak with her, "You need to talk to Allen, he could of got us killed today because of his recklessness" Stella was confused but went and put Kai to bed returning after, "What do you mean his recklessness, what did he do?" Oliver sighed, he had to tell her since lives were at stake but didn't know how she react since its her fiance "I mean he wasn't watching our back like he was suppose to, he ran off into a store and ended up leading a hoard to us Stella. I hate to say this but either he stops or he doesn't go on anymore outings, I will not risk lives cause someone wants to be stupid." She nodded "I'll make sure he trains more okay, thank you for telling me" Oliver nods and walks to his home, sighing Stella went to start her overnight shift.
