Never silent.

I've never known what silence was,

From the day I was born theres always been noise of some sort.

Whether that be the chatter if people talking,

The sound of people walking,

The static of a radio or tv,

Never silent.

And at night,

Parents arguing,

Siblings crying,

The fan or air vent on blowing,

Never silent.

Outside is noise too.

Birds chirping,

Cars passing,

The wind whistling,

Never silent.

Even well toy sleep

Your brain plays sound in your dreams,

Never silent.

I've lived with sound my whole life.

No matter where you go there will always be noise;

From the woods to a field,

A house or a lake,

There will always be sound.

And maybe once in a blue moon

You will be in a room where there is nothing going on,

And it will finally be silent.

Except for me its not.

I've been in that room before,

Once in a blue moon,

Where there was no sound at all.

But the silent made it louder somehow,

Every thought was an echo in my head,

Every movement only my own,

And it was loud.

See, when you're around noise for too long,

Silent is only a quieter sound.
