Pickle for your thoughts? (Dungeon meshi x reader)

A rushed reunion

Hearing those words the dread sensation increased, making you clearly uncomfortable. If you had learned anything in your years as a knight it is that you should always listen to your instincts. Overhearing your conversation Laios paled before rushing towards the window at the foot of the bed, you hot on his tail. "Wh-What is going on?" asked Marcille, with a worried tone as she was looking around confused.

"Wait don't tell me. . ." Laios muttered, leaning over the window and looking down the street ". . .she actually got through the window?" he asked before quickly leaning back and run toward Kesuke, snatching it "Im going to take a look outside" the blonde leader proclaimed and before either of you could stop him he had already disappeared out the door.

The remaining party members looked at each other, slightly taken back by the whole situation. The first one to snap out was you, grabbing a change of more comfortable clothes for a possible fight,  you swiftly got dressed "I have a bad feeling. I'm going to see where Laios went" you said, putting on your cloak, for some reason making make sure it covered all your features, before snatching Phlox. "W-Wait! We're coming too!" shouted Marcille, barely being able to put on something without tripping on her feet.

Chilchuck and Senshi followed you two.

Running you guys could see in the distance the body of the red dragon, or well. . .ex body because all that remained of it now was only the skeleton. Was the decomposition really so fast?! Among the bones you could glimpse Falin and Laios together with another person, who didn't seem very peaceful, in fact, he looked like he was about to attack Laios! Raising her staff, Marcille cast a blast spell, striking one of the dragon's ribs and causing it to fall between Laios and the stranger, successfully separating them.

"H-Hey you! Get back! My next one wont miss!" She threatened, keeping her staff high as a way to show she was serious. The stranger grumble under his breath before turning around, his long silver hair was tied in a bun, leaving two elf ears open to view. His purple eyes narrowed at the sight of the rest of the party, irritation emanating from his body. He was NOT happy to see more brats "Ahh. . .the rest of the filthy usurpers"

You almost shrieked at the familiar sight of the elf in front of you. Quickly covering your mouth you lowered your hood further, hiding your face as much as possible. This is bad. . .this is REALLY bad. . .horrible. . .disastrous. . .you'd rather eat tons of treasure bugs than be in this situation. What are you suppose to do now?!

Sensing that the situation was about to take a bad turn Laios knelt at his sister's side, gently grasping her shoulders "Falin can you stand?" all he got though was a whine from her, making him more concerned with her health "Falin?" then out of nowhere the blonde girl snapped, punching her brother hard on the stomach "Shut up!" She shouted at the top of her lungs.

Laios fell a couple of meters away, the blow was so strong to make him lose consciousness "Laios!" screamed Chilchuck running toward him "What a strength" muttered Senshi in disbelief. The half-foot kneeled beside Laios before wiping his head towards Marcille and the stranger  "What the hell is going on!? Is that an adventurer?!" then his eyes couldn't help but snap in the direction of your figure. Why were you froze there!? Why didn't you take out Phlox when the first thing you do in case of danger is get ready and protect?!

Why are you acting so damn odd!?

The silver haired elf pulled out a golden covered book, opening it with a swift motion. One of its pages was missing, like it was tore up "A book!?" Marcille gasped, feeling drops of sweat run down her neck. The grip in your sword tightened, while a battle of conflicts was taking place in your head. Your hidden eyes pinned on the new elf "I have got really a bad feeling about this!" Chilchuck voiced your worries as Senshi tried to wake up Laios in vain.
