i answered the phone and laid down on my bed.

"hello" i said.

"hey ma" he said.

omg i missed that. that name, his voice, his face all of it.

"hey baby" i said smiling.

"i just wanted to apologize to you for the way i acted towards you. hanging up and snapping at you ik i gotta communicate better and let you know how i feel and not just hang up. so i'm sorry and i hope you can forgive me" he said.

"baby.. i'm sorry too.. i did not mean to hurt your feelings and that's not what i was saying at all yk that i believe in you and yk that ik your good enough. i'm sorry for what i said"

"i forgive you if you forgive me" i said and he smiled and nodded at me.

"i love you beautiful" he said making me smile and blush.

"i love you more" i said.

"but tell me how your practices been going ?" i said.

"they been chill. i'm adjusting to the new environment and people, but i love it i think this is good for me"

"most definitely baby.. you only going up from here" i said.

"but i can't wait to be a basketball wife" i said and he smiled showing off his pearly white teeth.

"yk it's coming soon" he said winking at me.

i grabbed my stuff and said bye to the team before heading to my car. i got in and headed home i was so ready to shower and get in bed.

i haven't talked to juju all day so i am so ready to call her and talk to her. i walked inside and locked the door walking upstairs to my room.

i grabbed my clothes & my body wash turning on the shower. after it was warm i undressed and hopped in. after my shower i went downstairs and made dinner.

getting into bed i grabbed my phone and called juju she instantly answered. i watched as her beautiful face popped up in the scream.

"hey mamas.. i miss you" i said.

"hey beautiful, i miss you more" she said smiling at me.

"how was your day ?" i asked.

"it was good.. chill yk sum slight and yours ?" she asked.

"good also. i have found a mall that i absolutely love & i done overspent" i said laughing.

"aww that's good ik the fits finna eat on game days.. but i'm going out with dana tonight so" she said.

and my face instantly changed. because one thing i learned this past month is that her teammate dana evans is very much flirtatious.

and i do not wanna be that fiancé that try to control who they fiancé talk to or tell who they can and can't hang out with & i don't wanna seem insecure but something about her gives me bad vibes.

"ohh her again" i mumbled.

"yes her again.. why what's wrong. we're teammates and she's one of my closest friends here" she said.

"nothing"

"no babe tell me" juju said giving me her full attention.

"its just.. she give me bad vibes. ionk why but she's so flirty with you juju. & ion wanna be that fiancé that tell you who you can and can't hang out with but yk" i said.

"babe she's not flirty with me.. dana's just a girls girl" she said and i scoffed.

"yeah okay" i mumbled.

"man we not finna start that insecure s*** kamorea. ian got nothing to hide or no reason to lie you man" juju said.

"you think im insecure ? be so fr judea your all the way in chicago and im all way in connecticut please don't play with me. i never said you was lying don't ever come for me" i said.

"i don't trust her" i said.

"well ionk what to tell you, cus she's also my teammate if you forgot."

"mm" i said.

"bruh kk please don't start. ion got time to argue man. just tell me how you feel so we can fix it." she said.

"man there's nothing to fix. just know that's disrespectful and yo a**" i said before hanging up.

i know that it's normal for me and juju to argue & ik i'm wrong for hanging up but i have to calm myself before i lose it.

we have been doing so good and ion wanna ruin that. i just wish i could talk it out in person and  hold her because thats what we both need.

each other & each others physical presence. i grabbed my plate and walked downstairs washing it and putting it up. i decided to do some extra cleaning since i was bored and had nun to do.

i grabbed my phone and hooked it up to the speaker and played "mad" by ne-yo because he's really describing our situation.

"i don't wanna go bed mad at you & i don't want you to go to bed mad at me no no no" i sang to myself.

"ohh baby this love ain't gone be perfect" i sang.

boy ne-yo spit facts in this song. i continued to clean as i listened to music.

"we can fuss and we can fight long as everything's alright between us, before we go to sleep.. baby we're gonna be.. happy" i sang

music is definitely my safe space especially when im in my feelings and in my head. after i finished cleaning i turned off the lights and headed to bed.
