"Dear Olympus,
Give me solace in this place. I write to you in vain, but still, I write. Papyrus, inked by firelight, beneath a starlit sky. I only wish you would read in return. Or that someone would; would place their hand over my heart, lest it shatter from the weight of expectations. Enough with the poetry. Would you just get me out of here? 7th grade is awful. Imagine the titan war, then make it middle schoolers.
Yours Truly,
Grace Sinclair"

Yeah, that's good, Grace, now just mail it to a remote mountain in Greece. Oh, you can't? There's nobody there? Exactly. I get it, I'm naïve. Gods are a fairytale. But look on the bright side. The sky is still blue, the grass green. And the sun is burning bright. Just stare at the rest of the world. It's the same. Hold fast, brave the storm. Because after a flood comes a rainbow. Right? Oh, who am I kidding? Not myself.

Emotions are hard to talk about. So 'I'm fine' is the default response to everything. I think that's normal, not wanting to be a burden... You, however, are a piece of paper, and therefore I can open up to you without making you uncomfortable, because paper doesn't have conscience. Yes, I'm an over-thinker. Get used to it.

Welcome to the life of the "optimistic" friend.
