my heart started to pump faster the closer we got. my hands were sweaty & juju definitely noticed. but she also know i have anxiety so hopefully she just think it's that.
i saw jada, bronny, and bryce and they nodded at me letting me know it's ready. i led her further and we were outside.

she let go of my hand as she stared her mouth was open. she had no words & neither did i but i was so happy to be doing this.
she stared at the "marry me" sign and her hand was over her mouth. tears fell down her face. i grabbed her and got down on one knee. (i got down on the good knee🤣).
"where do i start.. first off i wanna say how much i appreciate you. you've been there for me since day 1 as i grieved and you did everything to help me celebrate my brother. you held me when i was at my lowest. no matter how mad we were at each other its always us. i wanna spend the rest of my life with you. your the girl i want.. to marry, to call my wife, to have my kids, all of it. you make me so happy and you bring out the best in me. you showed me real love.. you loved me the right way. and i love you more than life itself.. so judea skies watkins will you marry ?" i asked looking into her eyes.
"yes, yes, a million times yes" she shouted.
i slid the ring on her finger & spun her around, we shared a passionate kiss & we heard our friends come out.
"aww congratulations my babies" jada said as we did a group hug.
"thank you guys, yall really sneaky lol" juju said wiping her tears.
"i love you" juju said kissing me.
"i love you more" i said.
"okay yall let's go eat" bryce yelled.
"dude yo back so big" juju said making us laugh.

the fact that im a "fiancé" now is crazy to me. like im really getting married. too my favorite person my favorite girl. the one i wanna spend the rest of my life with.
today was definitely a night to remember. one of the best nights of my life. i can't wait to marry her. the literal love of my life.

we did a group hug. enjoying the rest of the night with each other because the draft coming up and it's gonna be stressful from here on out. but i wouldn't change it for the world.
