. ☆ . ; CONFESSIONS : : [ ONE ]

Start from the beginning

An unexpected embrace wrapped around the two, an embrace from the princess. It caused Lucifer to smiled, hugging her back. A warmth that he had almost forgotten, it being given so casually from his daughter. Reconnecting their memories before pulling apart. A sweet moment that caused the two to click, a moment both their time apart needed. A silent growing of connection and knowing. Fixing their relationship with baby steps but no matter how long it took, it'd be worth it. It'd be worth it to get each other back. Be able to be some nice father-daughter duo rather than both of them neglecting each other, neither of them checking on each other to see if they needed help with anything. It had just been Lucifer's phone calls deemed to be made out of ' boredom '. No, he cared, he was trying to get back what they had earlier. But his attempts failed. The amount of joy the small man felt when his daughter wanted to see him was too much for a mortal to ever handle. It had felt like his cheeks were ripping from how much he smiled in that hour alone.

With the approval of Charlie, he walked off. Walking off to uncover the secrets that laid deeper from the reach of the hotel. To discover what such a miserable wreck was hiding. But the truth was simple, too simple. Alastor was experiencing a sense of dread, agony. An agony tearing away at him, losing his liberity ever since he had died. Limiting himself ever since he had died, no longer being able to have too much free choice. A bird cage made perfectly for him, keeping him contained from flight. The flight of adventure and varity. Varity of options. But no, his torture was more mental. He wasn't physically struggling but he will forever mentally know that he isn't in control, someone will always be over his shoulder. A problematic thought that agonized his head, a headache giving touch that never went away. A feeling that he lacked, mentioned over and over. He will never be a free spirit, he was soul bound to .. ?

STEPS, footsteps. Someone was coming, someone was coming close. A feeling of doubt washed over the man in red, looking over to the door, the door that connected a balcony to the hallway. The hallway of a floor shared between two rivals. Rivals made by teasing and prodding. He looked to see the shorter man, too short. Lucifer himself, why him? He was dreading seeing the guy's face at the moment. He didn't need him here, he was a fool infront of a King. The jester of the court. He huffed out of annoyance, his ever lasting smile upon his face widening with a sense of irritation. His eyes displaying all his emotions for him. Looking the devil down .. literally.

' ' Do you really think that'd work on me ? Gosh, you're so stupid .. ' '

Partially amused by the lack of reaction from him, it was a highlight of difference between his victims and the ones of higher ranking. A lack of fear he could let his walls down slightly to, not needing to worry as he knew the King wouldn't dare to hurt him. Only a cruel father would put his rivals over his child's happiness. He knew how that felt, disapproving over Lucifer's absence in Charlie's life. But he didn't voice it, he didn't say his opinion aloud for everybody to hear. Nobody would take his thoughts off him. ' ' What do you desire, your highness .. It's clear a soft chat isn't what you came for. ' ' He stated firmly, keeping a tough side of him front. Asking for what wishes he was needed of. A difference of tone between him and Lucifer.

' ' Answers. ' ', a simple reply but a reply nothing less. The facial expression carried on the short man was clearly saying he was genuine. Not giving time to even take a breath and relax, he spoke up once again. His tone one that was struck with a hint of curiousty, ' ' What's changed? ' ' He asked. A feeling was within his gut, saying he was going to regret this choice very soon. To regret talking with the radio demon. He winced at the hue of surprise in Alastor's eyes, seeming to be striking a cord within him. An awkwardness present in the air's thick tension. Being able to be cut with a knife. The silence of the deer just made it worse really. And that was clearly known by both present on the balcony.

' ' My own desires, my own desires have changed. What once brought me to where I stand does not seem to furfill my .. needs. ' '

A wordy reply compared to the answer previously given, an answer of wanting .. no, needing. Or as the deer called it, it caused Lucifer to arch a brow. Clearly puzzled and curious on what his desires actually were. A hint of interest within his tone but his curiousty showed through a glimmer in his eyes. His eyes filling up with a glow of interest, a wanting to learn more of this so called prick. ' ' And what do you desire, Alastor .. ? ' ' He asked. His eyebrows both raised with a hue of excitement over finally knowing, getting an answer. The name rolling off his tongue as if it was meant to be yelled and said only by him.

' ' My liberity, what once was traded away from me given back .. and you are the key to that. ' '

FREEDOM, a desire of freedom. But how was Lucifer the key to Alastor's lock, the lock on his cage. He didn't even know Alastor fully. Yes, he was the King of Hell. He could do what he desired but why? Stunded, the devil looked at the taller male infront of him. His confusion ended here but there was a question left unanswered, a question that would rattle his head in if he didn't ask. And so he said it, not bothering to pull back as he was going to find out. He had came this far within a conversation without any snarky comments so continuing is the best choice at the current moment.

' ' Why me? ' '
