Marz Magnolia
We moved to California to meet up with Ian about a week ago. Shortly before we came, Julie and I got married in the FireCon half of Steamsville( Chicago). Ian was my best man and Joanne was Julie's maid of honor. Right after the wedding, Ian just disappeared. A month later, I got an e-mail.

Hey man!
You were probably wondering where I went after the wedding. Well, right in the middle of the reception, I got a call from a publishing company in California. I sent them an excerpt from my story about the collapse of the Northern Wall and everything around then. They really liked it and offered me a job! I packed up my stuff and got on a plane to Cali. You guys should come. If you do, we could have some lunch some time.
Can't wait to see you,
Ian.
After getting that, Julie and I decided to spend our honeymoon in L.A.
When we arrived, we got off and went to the baggage claim. When there, we saw Ian in a leather jacket, blue jeans, sunglasses and Converse All- Stars.
" Hey! What's up man!" Ian asked, grinning as we high fived and hugged.
" Not much, you?" I said, smiling.
" Well, let's see, I got a job as an author, I got an awesome apartment and I got a girlfriend."
" Woah, woah, woah... who's the lucky lady?"
Then, Joanne Kingsley, wearing short shorts and a neon blue t- shirt with black print;
" CALI
FOR
NIA"
" She came with me when I came out here. Our first date was that night."
" We had dinner then went out to the Hollywood sign."
" Great view. Also a great place for a first kiss."
" Pfff... stop it," Joanne said, smiling and playfully shoving him.
" No, seriously, she was leaning against the'W' and I was right next to her..." Ian said, recalling the event.
I turned and saw a TV screen. It showed North Dakota. In the scene, there was a town that looked burned and bombed. There was only one thing that seemed as if it wasn't completely covered in ash... a Canadian Flag.
" Oh man," I said." Not again."
Ian followed my gaze.
" Oh shiiiiiii," he saw a few children sitting with their parents. The parents were giving him death glares." oooot."
The parents looked back at their phones and the TV.
