Y/N'S POV

I'm sitting in Tara's living room, surrounded by my friends, and we're in the middle of a game of Truth or Dare. It's been a wild night, and we're all having a blast. I'm laughing and joking with Sam, Colby, Corey, Jake, and Tara, when Colby turns to me and says, "Y/N, truth or dare?"

"Ooh, I'll take dare!" I reply, always up for a challenge.

Colby grins mischievously. "Okay, Y/N. I dare you to reveal your mystery crush that you've been talking about with Tara."

My heart starts racing as I glance at Tara, who's trying to stifle a giggle. I feel my face burning up with embarrassment. I try to play it cool, but it's too late. My cheeks are on fire.

"Johnnie," I say quietly, my voice barely above a whisper.

The room falls silent. Everyone's eyes are on me, and I can feel their gazes piercing through me. I take a deep breath and grab the shot glass that Tara has handed me. "Cheers," I say, downing the shot in one gulp.

The group erupts into cheers and catcalls. "Oh my god, Y/N! You're crushing on Johnnie!" Jake exclaims, his eyes shining with excitement.

I'm mortified. I never meant for this to happen. But as I look around the room, I see that everyone is genuinely happy for me. Even Johnnie is smiling, however there's a slight blush forming on his cheeks.

We continue playing the game, but it's all a blur. All I can think about is Johnnie's reaction to my confession. Did he really not know? Did he have a crush on me? Did I just embarrass myself?

As the night wears on, we start wrapping up the game and getting ready for bed. Since I'm staying at Tara's house for the night, I head up to my room, feeling like I'm walking on air.

As I'm getting ready for bed, there's a knock on the door. I open it to find Johnnie standing there, looking nervous.

"Hey," he says softly. "I just wanted to ask you something."

I feel my heart skip a beat. "What is it?"

He takes a deep breath. "Were you lying about your crush? You didn't have to say that."

I shake my head. "No, Johnnie. I wasn't lying. I mean...I didn't mean to make it so public...but yeah, I've had feelings for you for a while now."

Johnnie's face breaks out into a warm smile. "I have to admit...I've had feelings for you too."

My heart is racing now. "Really?"

He nods. "Yeah. Would you like to go out with me tomorrow? Just dinner or something?"

My mouth is dry as dust. "Yes," I say finally, trying to sound casual.

Johnnie grins and I leaned towards him, placing a gentle kiss on his cheek.

"Goodnight," he says softly.

"Goodnight," I reply.

As the door closes behind him, I jump on my bed and then I grab my phone and send Tara a quick text: "IT HAPPENED!!!"

I can't believe it. Me and Johnnie? It's like a dream come true.

I settle back into bed, feeling like a whole new version of myself. Tomorrow can't come soon enough. God, I feel like I'm in one of those romance shows or movies.

As I drift off to sleep, all I can think about is Johnnie's warm smile when he said he liked me too.
