“I didn’t do this for the rest of the students, but because you are new, I am going to give you a tour of the school, as well as the dorms.” Professor Aizawa states with a hint of annoyance in his voice. He looks tired, like he hasn't slept in days. He could be sleeping right now because it's his day off, but the principal talked him into showing their newest student in the hero course, Y/n, L/n, around the school.
When Y/n first arrived, she was immediately escorted to the principal’s office. She met all of the teachers, expecting them to adore her immediately, but that was not the case. They were mostly all focused on how the principal randomly accepted a new student into their school without even making her take an exam. All of the other students had to take a written exam as well as a practical exam to enter the school. Even if she did take an exam, it's a few weeks into the second semester already, so accepting a new student now is very odd. Despite the teachers’ suspicion, they all greeted her respectfully and spoke with her briefly about her quirk.
Her quirk is called energy manipulation. The name is self explanatory. She has the ability to manipulate energy, meaning she can move anything she wants if she just focuses on it's energy. It's a very strong quirk to have, and with proper training she could be a very powerful hero one day. With All Might retiring, the world needs someone to take his place as the symbol of peace, and that person could possibly be Y/n.
Y/n is now walking beside Aizawa, following him down the halls of U.A. High, the most prestigious school for heros in all of Japan. Y/n glances around, taking in everything. The school is huge, and there are hundreds of classrooms, but for some reason the halls are dead silent. The only sound being heard is Y/n and Aizawa's footsteps as they slowly walk down the halls.
“I’m assuming everyone is in class by now.” Y/n says, glancing over at Aizawa for clarification.
“That is correct. They are currently in their first period class.” Aizawa confirms as he briefly turns to Y/n, his eyes boring into hers before turning back to face forward. “If you're wondering why I’m letting you skip right now, it's because it's your first day, and I wouldn't want to overwhelm you with classes already. You still have to unpack your belongings in your dorm room." He explains.
Zaida sighs in disappointment.
“Seriously? Can't I just do that in the evening? You’re really going to make me miss out on a day of instruction even though I’m already way behind everyone else?” She asks him, her voice dripping with annoyance and sass.
Aizawa suddenly stops walking. Y/n's eyes widen and she turns to face him, stopping in her tracks as well. Aizawa doesn't look at her, his tired eyes fixed ahead of him still. His voice sounds emotionless as he speaks, like he doesn't care if he is there or not.
“Well, I was trying to be nice to you since Principal Nedzu adores you so much, but if you're suggesting we call off the tour then I would be more than happy to just leave you on your own in the middle of this hallway.” He tells her. Y/n glances behind her, and she realizes she has no idea where they are. If Aizawa leaves her here, she could be lost in these halls for hours. She looks back up at him.
“Actually… I think we can just continue with the tour.” She says with a nervous smile on her face, rubbing the back of her neck. Aizawa rolls his eyes and doesn't respond, he just starts walking forward again.
“Come on. Let's go, then.”
Y/n nods her head and quickly follows him.
After an hour or so, Aizawa finishes showing her around the school, and he begins walking her to class 1-A’s dorms. Once they get inside, Aizawa shows her the common area and the courtyard. Y/n memorizes the place instantaneously, and she continues to follow Aizawa around.
Soon enough they make it to her dorm room. Her room is the second one on the 4th floor.
“Alright, here we are. This tour is over, and you can begin unpacking your things. But before you do, I must tell you that the dorms are separated by gender." Aizawa starts. "The girls are on the right wing, and the boys are on the left wing. You are allowed to go into each other's rooms before and after classes, but after curfew, you must return back to your dorm room immediately. Do you understand?”
Y/n has a deadpan look on her face. “Seriously? What kind of rule is that?”
Aizawa's gaze hardens as he replies. “It's to ensure your safety. The building also has high tech security, so if anyone were to try to break in, we would get alerted immediately. The same goes for anyone trying to sneak out.” Aizawa explains in a serious and stern tone.
Y/n groans out of annoyance. “Talk about controlling.” She mutters.
Aizawa rolls his eyes. “It's what has to be done to keep you and the rest of the students safe.” He says sternly.
Y/n sighs and opens the door to her room. “I understand the whole security thing for break-ins, but we're seriously not allowed to stay in someone else's dorm for the night? What harm does that do?” She glares at him.
“I don't really understand why you're getting so defensive over this, but I will have you know that teenagers can not be trusted in the same room together after dark.” Aizawa states, sounding just about done with this conversation.
Y/n blushes and looks away, her hand still on the door knob. “What are you talking about?!” She yells in embarrassment.
Aizawa begins walking past her and towards the elevator to leave. “Based on your reaction, I can tell you know exactly what I’m referring to.”
He glances over at her one last time before entering the elevator and heading downstairs.
Y/n narrows her eyes at the elevator Aizawa just left in before walking into her dorm room and slamming the door shut behind her. “I can already tell that he's going to make my life a lot harder than it needs to be.”
