Chapter one

Once upon a time in a far-off kingdom, there was a beautiful vampire princess who was only about eight years old. A fairy came by and took the princess when she was only eight. The queen and the king got depressed.

The fairy took her to the land of the human world and made her forget her true form and who she was. She must find six sins on her nineteenth birthday.

"Victoria, you're about to be late for school," Kris yelled. I was on top of my bed, still asleep, and drool came out of my mouth. My mom opened the door quickly.

"Come on, we have to go, you're late. You don't want to show up late in your first year of school," says Mom.

"Let me sleep, Mom. What if people at school hate me?" I said.

"That's it, I'm dragging you out of bed," she said, and wow, she's strong for a human.

Fine, I'm getting up. I don't need you to keep pulling me," I said as I got up from my bed. I changed my clothes and tried to look my best for my first year of school.

"Perfect," I said. "I'm wearing a red shirt with a v-neck and my jeans are long pants. I have a necklace that matches my clothes with the shape of a heart."

I put a little bit of makeup, not too much. I don't like wearing makeup that much anyway.

I ran downstairs and saw my annoying little brother, who was already up before me. He was sitting on the chair that I usually sat on with dad before he passed away.

"Mom, he took my seat!" I yelled.

Mom walked into the dining room and put our breakfast on the table.

"Give her seat back," said mom in a gentle, calm voice.

"Fine, but you know you always sit next to dad and I never get to," he said in a stubborn voice.

"You kids are about to be in high school, so act like one," said mom. Josh rolled his eyes and took food off my plate.

I was shocked and grabbed his hair. He deserved it.

Ouch! "Mom!" yelled Josh.

"Enough, Josh, that was her food. You deserve it. Act like a gentleman and not some kind of man-child," she said.

I smiled at my success and sat down at my usual spot. Mom checked the clock.

"Mom, don't worry. We aren't going to be late for school. We're just going to find a bus or take Uber," I said.

She sighed and smiled.

"I'm not worried about that. Your father and I have kept secrets from both of you, and I just hope they don't come true," she said in a shaky voice.

She shook her head, smiled, and looked at the clock hanging on the wall. She took our plates off the table as we grabbed our backpacks and got ready for our new high school since we moved.

"Victoria," she called me.

I turned around before heading out the door.

"If you feel anything weird or if something happens to you, let me know," she said.

I was confused about what she was talking about. All I did was nod. I walked towards the door and opened it.

My brother was standing at the bus stop, and I was with him. He looked at me curiously as mom talked about breakfast time, and I shrugged my shoulders.

As the bus stopped at its destination, we got off and said good day to the bus driver. A man who is about 6 feet tall, with curly dirty blond hair, was looking at me.
