Paradis Fundraiser Gala

days before Paris

Margot was practically in shambles trying to put this dinner together. It was possibly the most stressful week of her life. She had the gala for her own company on Friday and the actual Met Gala the Monday right after and the following day, she was hopping on a plane to Paris with Taylor.

She barely had time to breathe. She spent the entire day Thursday at the venue making sure everything was in order and the entire day of the actual gala, she was running around making phone calls left and right, making sure every table had the right table cloth and flower vase and down to the napkin arrangement. Everything had to be perfect.

She didn't even have time to make it back home to change so she had her dress with her at the venue to switch into right before people were to start arriving. The first of them being her parents, well before she was even ready.

"Honey, is there anything at all you'd like us to help with?" Amanda asked while Margot was going over the seating chart one more time with Naomi.

"No, no, Jeanne is not bringing Phillip. Fiona is taking that seat."

"Oh, shit, okay!" Naomi exclaimed and rushed to get it fixed.

Her mother kept trying to get her attention but it took her dad grabbing her by the shoulders to get her to really stop and take a breath. "Honey, there's an hour left until people start arriving. Why don't you go ahead and get dressed and we'll take it from here? Your brother should be here any second now and I'm sure Naomi's got everything else under control."

She was about to agree with him when her phone started ringing. She would have ignored it had it not been the jeweller that was making the tiara she had ordered as a surprise for Taylor to wear at the Met Gala in a few days.

"I have to take this, excuse me!"

She ignored the way her parents sighed and shook their heads while she walked away, holding her phone up to her ear. It turned out, the vendor was only letting her know that she could pick the tiara up first thing on Monday, just in time for the event.

She turned around to walk back inside when she saw Sebastian and Valerie arrive at the same time as Taylor. They were all already dressed and looked impeccable. She probably still looked like the same hot mess that left in a hurry early in the morning.

"Hi! Here, and I swear to God, Sebastian, if you fuck anything up, you're going to regret it!" Margot exclaimed, handing her brother her iPad. "Val, you are glowing! Tay, stunning as usual, sweetheart. I'm going to get changed!"

She didn't even wait to hear anyone's response before turning around and heading to the room she had taken over with all of her things.

Taylor was right behind her though. The blonde chuckled as she closed the door behind them and walked over to Margot's side. "I'm going to get you a drink. You look like you could really use it."

"No. I don't wanna be drunk tonight," Margot shook her head and walked over to the garment bag that had her dress inside. "I need to keep my head clear."

"Just to calm your nerves. You're a hot mess," Taylor laughed softly and wrapped her up in a warm hug. "Take a breath. It's all going to be fine."
