The Park Is Open (Zach Mitchell x Reader)

He started to walk out of the room, but you stopped him. "Wait, Zach." He turned around to look at you, those graceful brown eyes, "Yeah?" You stood up, and smiled, "How does this look for a date type thing?"

"I think he's lucky." You smiled slightly, and looked down, blushing. "Thanks Zach" He nodded, and then walked out of the room. You grabbed your sunglasses of the dresser and put your phone in your dress pocket. Spraying a little more perfume as you walked out of the room.

Once you were out of the room, you saw Zara, Zach and Gray waiting for you. You looked down at Gray, "I'm sorry you had to see that." He nodded, but didn't say anything. Zach bumped his little brother, "On the bright part, you can say you made it to first base, or ran partially there, then gave up."

You looked at Zach and shook your head, "A little early in the game to say he lost isn't it?" You looked down at Gray and winked, he flustered a bit, and then went back to his same excited self. "HUH!!! YOU GUYS THE DINOSAURS!!"

Zara looked super annoyed at the young boy, "they aren't going anywhere." Gray looked up at her, he almost looked offended, "65 MILLION YEARS AGO THEY WERE EXTINCT. I'M NOT TAKING MY CHANCES."

"If they become extinct again, man will just create them again." You sighed at the two arguing, "Okay, that's it. You can argue around the dinosaurs." You walked over to the two, turning them around and pushing them towards the elevator. They turned towards you, disagreeing, or arguing.

"SHHH. Almost there." You saw the elevator and pressed the button, forcing them into it. Zach trailed behind, his hands in his pocket. You turned to look at him, "You could've helped!!"

He shook his head, "It was fun watching you try and get them into the elevator." You hit his forearm as he tried to walk into the elevator. You stood in front of it, and shook your head, "Hey Zara, what floor are we on again?"

"The 20th. Why?" You looked back at Zach. "Time for a exercise." Zach looked offended, "what the hell. Why not the two that were arguing?" He gestured to Zara and Gray, you looked back at the two, "The reason why I'm sending you down the stairs, is because you were making fun of Gray."

You reached over and pressed the button to close the door, it slowly shut, Zach standing there speechless. You quickly spoke, "Hell, if you make it to the bottom floor before us, I'll give you twenty bucks yeah?"

A large smile came to Zach's face, the elevator doors closed. Gray walked over and pressed floor one, he then looked up at you. "Thank you for sticking up for me." You looked down at him and smiled, "It's okay. I understand what it's like."

He smiled then started to talk about Dinosaurs, rambling on randomly. The elevator then started to go down slowly, Zara cut him off, speaking, "Okay, so once Zach meets us down there, we have to get to the innovation centre to meet your aunt."

You looked up at her, "And when will I be able to meet my Stepdad?" She looked up from her phone for once in her life, "He said around 6 O'Clock." You pulled out your phone, "Only 12:43."

Zara looked up, almost panicked, "We are going to be late!" She walked over to the elevator buttons, she starts to press them quickly, trying to get the elevator to move faster.

Gray looked up at her, "You know, with you pressing every button, we're gonna go to those floors now." She looked even worse now, and looked around, "There had to be a button to cancel this!!!

You shook your head, "No, it cannot be canceled." The door then opened at floor 12. You sighed loudly and walked out, using your hand to push the door open. "Okay. Well I have a race with Zach Mitchell to beat." You walked over to the staircase door and pushed it open. You looked up for Zach, trying to see where he is.
