Adventure in the woods!

Len, Rin, Miku and ____ could always be found on adventures. Today, however, Rin was sick and had to stay home and Miku had voice lessons, so it was just Len and ____.

The park was a vast and mysterious place, and though the children had explored it many times, it felt as if each time they returned there was something different. Today, they focused on the small grouping of trees in the most eastern corner. Not dense enough that Luka, who was three years older and therefore in charge, couldn't see them, but there were enough for the two friends to invent a grand adventure.

Yet, half an hour after their exploration's beginning, they ran into their greatest foe yet- a big fat, slimy frog.

"Look! A dragon!" ____ called. She had the best imagination among her friends, and therefore was always making up the story. Len gasped, holding up his stick like a sword.

"I got it!" He called, heart pounding. He would defeat the dragon and amaze____. She would be so in awe of his bravery, she would do whatever he asked. He smiled at the thought. If he played his cards right, she would give him her dessert at lunch for the rest of her life!

Moving the stick forward, he paused, tuning back to glance at ____ who looked at him expectantly. Gathering his courage, he touched the piece of wood to the creature's slimy flesh. There was a pause, then suddenly the beast leapt forward- straight toward Len.

"Ack!" He cried, stumbling backward and slipping in the loose dirt. He hit something as her fell backward, and suddenly both he and ___ were on a pile on the ground.

"Ouch." ___ moaned. Len felt his face flush, embarrassed at his reaction. Even more embarrassed that he'd hit ____ on his way down.

"You okay?" He asked. ____ rubbed her back, giving him her best smile.

"That was awesome! We have to catch it!" She cried, scrambling to her feet and chasing after the heavy creature. Len stared after her, his cheeks still flushed and his chest still tight.

"Dummy, you don't go chasing dragons." He whispered before getting up and chasing after her.
