1-The signal

3rd person

Dr: "lord ras? Lord ra-"

Lord ras: "why are you in my presence, don't you know I could have you executed if you don't have a good reason for disturbing me?"

Dr: "y-y-yes, lord ras,"

Lord ras: "SO SPIT IT OUT ALREADY"

Dr: "w-w-well you know that device I've been working on, the one to track down dragons,"

Lord ras: "it better have worked"

Dr: "well it has, we have found a big signal of dragon energy coming form the east, which we found is the ninjas monetary"

Lord ras: " we already know they have many dragons, THEY STOLE OURS!"

Dr: "well, we also found a signal picking up source dragon energy coming from the same area"

Lord ras: "a source dragon you say?" He says humming with excitement

Dr: "that's not all, we also stumbled upon a darker energy, like the opposite of dragon energy,"

Lord ras: "well?"

Dr: "well we did some digging and the only mention of anything that is like this was a creature called an oni"

Lord ras: "tell me more about these, oni"

Dr: "well, they are violent killing machines, they possess the power of destruction and evil, and they are immortal."

Lord ras: " prepare an army"

Dr: "how big my lord?"

Lord ras: "send seventy percent of the army"

Dr: " but lord ras-"

Lord ras: "I SAID SEVENTY PERCENT!!"

Dr: "on it my lord"

Lord ras: " a source dragon and an oni, what an amazing find, whatever these oni are, they must be destructive and dangerous..."

..."ZANE!!!!!!" Lloyd screamed from the kitchen

"What happened!!!" He cried out bursting into the room. Zane stood completely stunned as he saw Lloyd with a flaming pan and his hands burned to shreds, skin flaked off, chunks at a time, revealing the tender and heavily bleeding flesh underneath.
"Let me guess, you tried to make pancakes and got third degree burns instead?" Nya said leaning on the kitchen door frame "Yup" Lloyd replied as Zane put out the fire and examined his hands. "Nope, fourth degree burns" "those exist!" "LLOYD! YOU CAN SEE THE FUCKING BONE!" "Oh yea, you can". The crimson blood laced with purple is splashed all over the counter top. "So lloooooooooyyyyd...... WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE!" Aron said as he walked into the room. " i don't think I'll be able to do training for a few days" "a few days!?!?!"sora screeched as she walked into the room and saw the state of Lloyd's hands; there was flesh peeling off,and you could see the bones for the top part of his finger. "That shits gonna take months to heal!!!!"
You still not going to tell them" Zane inquired to Lloyd when Aron and sora left. "No, I-I, I don't want them to see me as a monster"

The next day

Lloyds hands had already started to heal, he had full mobility back and no bone was showing anymore, in around two or three days his hand would be fully healed and the scarring would be fading. Although he didn't like to admit it, it was a perk of being part oni, he wasn't immortal, but he could heal from almost anything( as long as he isn't decapitated or his had his heart ripped out). "Lloyd!!! Wanna come feed heatwave with me?" "Sure kid" "by the way, what happened to your hands?" "It doesn't matter"
Lloyd and wildfire go down to the dragon stables. As Lloyd goes to pet one of the dragons and they pull away. When he tries again, they start growling. Lloyd backed up, and then it hit him; his power. Not his elemental power, while his hands were healing, he would have more off the oni power active. 'Stupid dragons' he thought. His thoughts had been darker, and it was only the other day he snapped at Kai over a misunderstanding. Usually those things don't bother him. Lloyd marched back. Aron asked what's wrong but Kai and Nya told him to leave Lloyd for the time being. " hey Aron, you seen Lloyd?" Sora asked. "He came back upstairs in a huff" she continued. "I don't know, I was going to check on him but Nya and Kai told me to leave it."

Lloyd stormed into his room, locked the door and checked the mirror and to his horror, his irises glowed a deep, ominous purple, and he his once short golden horns had a black tint at the tips. He calmed down, breathing in and out around 10 times, just like Nya showed him. Soon his eyes returned to his natural emerald green color. Lloyd then heard Aron knock at his door. "Lloyd?" he said as he peaked through the crack in the door. " come in kid"
"You sure your ok?"

"Yea, why'd you ask?

"It's just, when you came back upstairs, you seemed annoyed and Kai said for me to leave you alone. You sure you're ok?"

"Ya kid, I didn't mean to worry you"
Ryu snuck his way into Lloyd's room while him and Aron were chatting. Ryu was going to come to see Lloyd, but suddenly backed up growling as he did.
" what's wrong buddy?" Aron asked him.
"You should probably go,"
"You sure,"
"Yea,"
"We can talk if you need anything Lloyd"Aron said exiting the room. 'Stupid ass dragon, why can't I just have one easy day? Someone always needs something'. These were the thoughts that filled his head as he went to sleep.

The next day

"Breakfast!" Zane called from the kitchen. "Yes!" Aron called out. "Pancakes!" Sora said following him into the room. "Hey, where's Lloyd?" Cole asked strolling into the kitchen. "Speaking of Lloyd, how has his hands healed so fast? Like that should take months!" "I don't know" Aron replied. "Nya," Kai said getting her attention, "I think you should cheack on Lloyd". Nya made her way tho Lloyd's room. "Lloyd?" She called out from behind the door. "What." Lloyd replied. He had a darker undertone in his voice. "I'm going to come in, ok?" Nya said, sensing that something was wrong. When she opened the door, she was met with a shock of a sight...

Hiya sweeties!!!!! Cliffhanger!!!!!! I hate them but I try to make my character around 1000 words long. Less than and I feel it's too short, more than and I feel it drags on. (Also this gives me an easy end and an easy starting point for the next chapter). Chap 2 should be out in a day or so, so you shouldn't have to wait for too long!!!
