Skip 3 days and alessia is feeling better it's match day
"Morning darling how are you feeling do you think you can play" you say to lessi as you get out of bed
"Yeah darling I'll be alright" she says as she walks into the bathroom
You get in the shower after alessia and she goes down to make breakfast
When you get down less already had avocado toast on the table your pre match meal
"Aw less you know me so well" you say as you kiss her cheek
"I've known you since we were 15 I know everything about you" she says back to you
You eat then get ready to leave your in the car and less' breathing starts getting heavier so you put you hand on her thigh
"Darling calm down breathe in out it's going to be alright" you say to her to calm her down you rub your thumb on her thigh
"Yeah I'll be fine rubes" she says back to you but you can't be sure if she's telling the truth as you know she bottles her feelings
You arrive at the emirates where the match is and you walk into the stadium
"Ooh love birds" you hear Beth say
"Oh shut up Beth" you roll your eyes at her
6 months ago your mum died and Beth has been like your big sister ever since you walk over to her
With tears in your eyes
"Beth it's her birthday I've been trying to stay strong but I just can't anymore"
"Darling you don't have to stay strong it's her first birthday in heaven come on"
She puts her arm round you and signals less to come outside with her you and Beth walk next to each other with less walking behind as you get outside the changing rooms you burst into tears
And less immediately hugs you
"What's wrong darling don't lie to me" less says to you
"It's my mums birthday less" you say to her
"Oh rubes I'm so sorry I forgot she is so proud of everything you've done and the young woman you are promise we can have cuddles when we get back and we can go to her grave tomorrow if you would like"
"Yes please lessi" you burry your head into her chest
"Darling we need to get ready for the match and you can go out there and smash it for her" she wipes your tears and you walk back in to the changing rooms
You get your pre match training gear on and head out for warm up as your warming up you see your dad and brother in the crowd you smile and wave at them as you didn't expect them to be here
You warm up then you walk back in the changing rooms and less is already there
"Hey darling are you nervous it's against city" you say to her
"Not really my love" she says as she ties up her boots
"Good darling" you kiss her head knowing how anxious she gets before matches

"Well done on the start baby" you say to less as you walk into the tunnel before you walk out you kiss as it's one of your superstitions you've had since you got together
As you walk onto the pitch you kiss your hands then point to the sky which you do every game you see your dad tearing up when you do it
The match starts and in the 17th minute you run down the middle of the pitch you beat your defender and less loops you a ball over you take a touch then score less immediately runs over and hugs you
"For your mum yeah" she whispers in your ear all the girls huddle around you and then before the match starts again you look at your dad kiss your hands and point to the sky again this time you see a tear roll down his face
The half time whistle goes nothing else happened other than that the game was pretty equal the only thing setting you apart being your goal
Beth walks over to you in the changing rooms
"Proud of you kid" she says as she puts her arm round you
"Thanks beffy" you say to her
You go back out for the second half
Nothing happens until in the 60th minute Chloe Kelly taps in a goal just beating zinsberger
In the 79th minute alessia goes down a scream echos around the stadium you instantly run to her side when you see her go down with no contact
"Lessi darling are you alright" you ask her as she's now sat up and you grab her hand and keep kissing it
"Rube my knees popped and it hurts so much" she rests her head on your shoulder and you kiss her head
The medics come over and take her off on a stretcher you kiss her as she goes off
You weren't your best for the rest of the match as you couldn't stop thinking about alessia
As soon as the final whistle goes you quickly run over to your dad and brother and tell them about alessia then you run down to the medics you see alessia with tear stained cheeks sat on the bed
"Hey darling how is it" you say to her then kiss her head
"Not good I can't put any weight on it" she says to you with tears forming in her eyes "why don't you go out to your dad I'll be fine my love"
"Less your my priority I talked to them quickly and they said it's fine" you say back
"Alright they've put a brace on me and I've got crutches so i can go walk round the pitch so let's go see them darling" she says to you and you help her off the bed and you slowly make your way over to your parents
"Hey ruby hey less how's your knee" your dad says
"Not good to be honest I can't put much weight on it without this brace" she says back
"Oh so you like less more than me now" you say pretending to be annoyed
"Yeah she's like our second daughter" he says
"Hey rubes I haven't missed you" your brother Jake says to you
You playfully hit him then say "oh shut up you"
