absence

Lacking your presence makes me want to put it all in past tense,
It gets blurry like my glasses' lens,
Loses ink like my old pens.
Your absence for me is an offense.
An expense with intense value of cents.
Without you next to me,
"Please be with me." is all I plead.
Although it does not fully guarantee,
I still want you to be with me so I can see.
Without you next to me,
"I want you here with me." is all I plead.
Even if you disagree,
Your face is all I covet to see.
Without you next to me,
It feels like I'm crushed beneath debris,
It feels like I got stung by a bee,
It feels like it took away my glee.
