"Don't joke about that," you hissed, pushing his hand away from your mouth.

"Are you gonna dump me now?" He teased, putting his arms around you and pulling you on his lap. You straddled his hips and put your hands on his shoulders.

"No," you said. "But I'm not going to suddenly accept spiders."

Now, Peter wanted you to hold a spider. The audacity! Hold a fucking spider. What kind of idea was that? What was he thinking?

Somehow, Peter had gotten a hold of a tarantula. You didn't know how, and you didn't even want to ask how. All you knew was that when you went to Peter's apartment and saw a spider in a glass box, you turned around and started to leave. Peter webbed his door closed before you could. That was how you ended up on his bed, arguing over spiders.

"I will give you a million kisses," Peter said, sitting up and holding your hands.

"No."

"A million and one."

"Peter."

"You can pick the movie night movie for the next month."

"No."

"I'll eat you out everyday for the next week."

"I get a month of movies but only a week of pussy eating?"

"Is that a yes?"

"No!"

"(Y/N), please," Peter sighed. "Just hold him for a second. His name is Squiggles. Isn't he cute?"

"No, he's horrifying," you said. "And I hate him."

"Hate is such a strong word."

"Which is exactly why I used it."

Peter sighed again, louder this time to show exactly how annoyed he was. "What do I have to do to get you to do this? I'll do anything." You put your finger on your chin.

"Anything?" you said.

"Anything," Peter confirmed.

"Okay," you said with a nod. "Here are your options."

"Options?"

"You can either, A: introduce me to Carol."

"Danvers?"

"Yes."

"Babe, I've met her one-"

"B: take me to New Asgard so I can meet the queen."

"I don't even know where-"

"C: take me to Wakanda."

"I've never even been to Wakanda!"

"Or D: I don't hold the spider, and we kill it right now."

"You're so dramatic!" Peter groaned, falling onto his back again. You giggled and crawled over to him, straddled his hips, and put your hands on his chest.

"Your pick, Pete," you said. He stared up at you for a moment, then sighed and reached for his phone. You couldn't see what he was doing, so you were confused when he pressed his phone to his ear.

"H-Hey, Shuri." He said. Your jaw dropped, and your eyes lit up. "Yeah, so I've got a weird favor to ask you," he said. "It's about my girlfriend." He looked up at you. "Yes, she's here." He pulled the phone away from his mouth and said, "Shuri says hi."

"Hi, Shuri!" You shouted. You could hear her laugh on the other end.

"Okay, okay," Peter said. "So here's the thing. (Y/N) hates spiders." A pause. "I know. It's a struggle. She's the worst." You hit Peter's chest as he grinned and continued. "I want her to hold a spider, but she won't do it unless I do one of these crazy commands she's laid out for me. Like, you know, like a psychopath."

"Peter!"

"Anyway," he said, ignoring you. "The only demand I think I might be able to do would need your help, and since you're the greatest Wakandan I know in the entire universe, I thought-" You could faintly hear Shuri talking in the background. "Really?" Peter said, his eyes darting over to you. "How did you even know-" He paused. "Oh. Alright. Okay. Cool. You're the actual best. Okay. Yeah. Just text me about it. Alright. See ya!"

Peter hung up the phone and looked at you with a satisfied smirk. "Clear your calendar," he said, grabbing your hips. "Okoye's gonna fly us over there next week." You cheered and pulled Peter up so he was sitting and wrapped your arms around him.

"That's amazing!" You squealed.

"I know," Peter said. "And now-" His eyes darted over to Squiggles, and your smile dropped. "Time to hold up your end of the deal."

You bit your lip as Peter opened the box and stuck his hand in, letting the spider crawl onto his palm. "The animal guy said he's really calm," Peter said. "Just don't make any jerk movements, and nothing will happen."

"Peter I'm scared," you whispered.

"He's not gonna hurt you," Peter cooed. "Now cup your hands out for me, okay?"

Wakanda. You're going to Wakanda. Just keep thinking about Wakanda.

Squiggles crawled onto your hands, and you held your breath. "Breathe, babe," Peter whispered. "You've gotta breathe."

"I can't," you choked out.

"Yes you can," Peter said. "Look. You're holding him. You're doing it."

"I hate him."

"That's okay," Peter said. "He doesn't hate you. He likes you!"

"Okay," you said. You swore the spider looked up at you, but it stayed contently in your cupped hands.

Okay, so he was a little bit cute. But you would never say that out loud to Peter.

"You're doing so good, baby," he said, brushing his fingers through your hair.

"Can you take him back now?" you said, not moving your eyes off Squiggles in case he decided to make any spontaneous movements. Peter chuckled, pressed a kiss to your temple, and took Squiggles out of your hands. You watched silently as he put him back in the box, and once it was safely secured, you jumped off the bed and ran to the bathroom to wash your hands, shuddering the entire time. Peter came into the bathroom with a grin on his face and wrapped his arms around you from behind.

"I'm so proud of you," he said, pressing a kiss to the crook of your neck. "And now -Hey!- We're going to Wakanda!"

"Are there spiders in Wakanda?" You asked sarcastically. "Because then I might not want to go."

"There are spiders everywhere," Peter reasoned. "Don't you know that we swallow like-"

"If you finish that sentence, I'm breaking up with you," you said, glaring at him in the mirror.

Peter laughed. "And to think I was going to call you brave."

"I am brave!" You huffed. "I just confronted my biggest fear." You paused and turned around so your back was leaning up against the counter, and you put your arms around his neck. "You're still afraid of heights, right?"

"What?" Peter said, a blush creeping up his cheeks. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Right," you said, one side of your mouth raising in a smirk. "Well, I was thinking maybe we should go skydiving."
