End Up Here Chapter 8

At the mention of writing, both Anne and Tony's heads snapped towards my direction. "You write?" asked Anne.

"Yes, in my spare time. But I've never done it professionally," I elaborated.

"Do you think you can write about this?" Tony held up my drawing, asking with urgency.

"Actually I already-" I began but was cut off by Anne.

"We'll pay you, and if it's any good, it'll be published in a magazine by tomorrow morning!" she exclaimed.

"Oh it will be, Ella here is one of the best writers I know," Allie added, sending me a wink.

"Well? What do you say? Can you write anything by tonight?" Tony looked at me with a hopeful expression.

"As I was saying, I already wrote about that," I said, referring to my drawing. "It's just a journal entry though. I have it in my bag, do you want to see it?"

"Yes!" Anne and Tony both exclaimed with excitement in their eyes. I quickly ran to the locker room and grabbed my bag with my journal in it. By the time I reached the table, all three were sitting down waiting for me. I had flipped to the page I was writing on last night. I scanned through my handwriting going over what it had said. It wasn't that long. I was just expressing some thoughts I had about living in New York, the good and the bad. I mainly focused on the bad, such as things people don't tell you, or warn you, about New York. However, towards the end, I said that I knew it would be worth it, to live in a city as alive as New York.

When they finished reading, Tony was the first to speak. "What are you doing working in a diner as a waitress, when you've got talent like this, kid?"

"You're good. You've got humor in your words, but it gets to people. There's truth in them," Anne added.

"Listen, can we use your work for our magazine?" Tony cut to the chase.

"We can talk to our boss, maybe get you a job, writing for us," Anne chimed in.

I let out a deep breath before agreeing with Tony and Anne. We exchanged contact information and I said I would send them a soft copy of my writing as soon as I got home. Once they were out of the door, Allie and I just stared at each other.

"Do you realize that this could change your life?" she asked me, breaking the silence.

I didn't bother answering her as I wrapped my arms around her pulling her into a tight hug, "Thank you for always being late!"

Once I had begun working for Sara with Tony and Anne, I quit my other two part time jobs and focused on writing. They had really helped me get more known in the writing world and I could never thank them enough.

Over one and a half years later, I finally had enough savings to publish my own book and here I am, currently writing with 5 seconds of summer and doing promotion for my book. How Ashton found me, I had no idea. No matter how many times I have told the story, it still gave me chills to the bone.

Apart from doing promo all week, I've also been talking to Michael. I finally agreed to get to know him, and so far I haven't found a reason that would lead me to regret that decision. But because of our busy schedules, we haven't physically seen each other since the morning his band mates found us in the kitchen. So far, texting, calling, and FaceTiming each other is all we have managed to do.

I was currently on the phone with Michael in my room and I was telling him how happy I was that promo week was over. I really missed working in the studio with him and the boys.

"I can't wait until you're back in the studio with us," Michael breathed.

"Miss me, Clifford?" I joked.
