⸺ Alpha remained quiet, yet his eyes slowly widened when he read it.

You've found your answer.

"I suppose I've been blind," Alpha muttered after his long silence.

You shook your head. "No! I think Afa brain–washy!"

"'Brain—washy'? Ah, do you mean brainwash?

You nodded. "Not sure I can explain it. You should ask Uncle."

"Yuukoku-san?"

You nodded fervently. "Unca da best gib advive!"

"Understood. Then once Mission: Nobunaga Miximax is complete, I shall consult Yuukoku-san."

That's the spirit! You pumped up your fists and let out a little, cheerful roar.

Alpha smiled a ghost of a smile. That smile soon disappeared when a flash of a realisation hits him. Oh dear, how could he have almost forgotten about it. "[Surname], there is one other thing i would like to apologise for."

"Eeh?"

"I've eavesdropped on your conversation with Daisuke-san. I'm sorry about that."

"Oh~" you said. So that explains the noise yesterday.

"I must add that Shinsuke san was there, too. I hope you could forgive him as well."

You hummed. "Ok! But only he also says sorry like you did."

"Understood." He stoop up from the ground. You followed suit, with an assisting hand from Alpha as he said, "One more thing, Shinsuke-san and I had a discussion. Shinsuke-san suggested we should help you, so before I forget once more, let us meet up with him."

Alpha brought you to the pathway near the river.

But once you got there, Shinsuke wasn't around. Even Alpha found it odd ⸺ Shinsuke did promised him to bring you here to discuss about your Keshin problem together. The two of you looked around for him, but in the end, you didn't need to when Shinsuke came running from the other side.

"Ah, Alpha, [Name]! There you two are!"

"Shinsuke-san, you're here. Were we late?" Alpha asked.

"Late?" Shinsuke blinked twice. "Wah! Right! Come on you two, or you'll be late to hear the Akane's plan!"

You and Alpha shared a glance before following after Shinsuke. The three of you had return back to the stronghold. There, you and Alpha were briefed on the plan, suggested by Akane and (Wondeba's words) cleaned up by Wondeba, to sneak into the festivals as dancers.

While you did think it was a good idea, you wondered whether they would be able to pull it off. It was best to have a backup plan, after all. You managed to think up of one when you remembered what Tasuke said before this.

"Hm, do you have a question, [Surname]?" Wondeba asked when he saw your raised hand.

"More like a suggestion," Shindou translated your sign language.

"A suggestion?" Everyone tilted their heads.

You nodded.

"'Just as a backup plan. If your cover gets blown, let me come in as a yokai!' is what she said," Shindou translated.
