A/N: When I see a sus traitor story with everyone being ooc, I find it tempting to write one just for the fun of it. Don't take it personally.

2nd A/N: Also I'm doing things differently

3rd A/N: TW for suicidal thoughts and suicide attempt at the end

Enjoy :)

At the age of four, Izuku Midoriya learned all men weren't created equal. It was a lesson taught to him repeatedly for the following ten or so years.

Yet when he started training with All Might, he thought he could be just as good as everyone else.

Oh, how wrong he was.

It's amazing how everything can change in a matter of days.

On the first day, everything is normal. Everyone moves into the dorms and there's even a contest for the best room. Tsu apologizes for calling him and the rescue team villains, and all is well.

On the second day, the class works on Special Moves.

On the third day, he develops Shoot Style and everything is fine. Or at least it is in the beginning. But by the end of the day, half the class is staring at him and whispering. It reminds him of middle school. 'But they're not like that... aren't they?'

On the fourth day, he studies his classmates while they train, picking apart their movements and interactions, wondering what happened for them to change their behavior towards him. He doesn't even realize he's muttering until he sees that Mineta seems off. When Izuku asks about it, Mineta yelps and assures him everything is alright before jetting off to Kaminari.

'That was odd... what is going on?'

He frowns and then he pulls out his current notebook to update his own entry in his 'Hero Analysis' notebook.

'It's kinda funny,' Izuku thinks to himself.'When I first started writing these I was four and so desperately wanted to be a hero despite thinking it was impossible. But here I am, with my own entry.' Warmth blooms in his chest, making him smile wide.

After moving on from the entry, he excitedly starts brainstorming ideas for One For All and Shoot Style.

But then he notices how quiet it is. Kacchan's explosions and yelling aside, it doesn't sound like anyone's talking. He looks up and sees everyone staring at him. They're trying not to make it obvious, but the lack of talking and stilted movements give them away.

He puts away his notebook slowly and they all relax, putting renewed energy into their training.

'Something's going on,' Izuku thought.

Nonetheless, he tries out those ideas he came up with for the rest of class, scrapping and modifying them.

The fifth day dawns unassuming but quickly devolves.

UA was supposed to be different.

For the rest of the morning, he went through school on autopilot. While his body went through the motions, he retreated into his head, analyzing every interaction he's had since starting at UA, trying to find some sort of explanation for everyone's behavior.

But by the time Heroics rolls around, he'd come up with nothing. He had no idea what he did wrong but he has hope that All Might would be able to help him figure it out. However, All Might isn't in the gym, Aizawa is.
