"I'm nervous." James said as He looked at his older sister Jane, Jane looked up from her magazine as she looked at him by the soundboard. "It's like my voice is going out, like I barely hit a middle C. Low low low low, high hig- hh." He demonstrated to her.

"Is that's why you haven't came in here yet." Bonnie said pulling the cigarette from her mouth. "I will in a second, damn." James said under his breath knowing Bonnie couldn't hear him. If Bonnie did hear him she would knock his ass out.

The atmosphere in the room was lively, filled with laughter and the faint sound of music playing in the background. El leaned in towards his sister, Jane, who seemed lost in her own world, flipping through a magazine with a serene smile on her face.

"Then how come you never tried to record your own record?" El questioned, his voice cutting through the chatter around them.

Jane glanced up from her magazine, her eyes meeting El's with a hint of amusement dancing in them. She shrugged nonchalantly before returning her attention to the glossy pages in front of her, as if the question was of little consequence.

Meanwhile, Bonnie and Mark's laughter echoed from the speakers, mingling with the playful banter of Randy and James. James interjected, addressing El's inquiry with a knowing smirk, "I know exactly why Jane won't ever do a song with the family or in general. She hates music and wants nothing to do with it, even if it meant helping us out."

El raised an eyebrow in surprise, but before he could protest, Jane spoke up, her voice calm yet firm, "It's not that I hate music, it's just not my passion like it is for you all."

El looked puzzled, gesturing towards the song lyrics scattered across the table, "But you write songs with us all the time."

Jane chuckled softly, setting the magazine aside and reaching for a nearby notebook. "I write poems," she explained, flipping through the pages filled with her elegant handwriting. "It's Bobby who turns them into songs. Music may not be my calling, but storytelling through words is."

El nodded slowly, beginning to understand. He understood what he sister was coming from, as beautiful as her voice might have been , she had deep reason why she never sung in her life.
