"Um, excuse me," You say to the man while tapping his shoulder lightly. He turns to you and looks at you with his dark, crimson red eyes. His scleras are almost the same shade. He didn't have the large, black eyes that the rest of the people around had. His skin is a sickly, pale gray and he's wearing a deep red suit. You notice he is holding a staff. It is pear shaped, with what looks like a microphone inside of it. However, the most obvious thing about this demon is his ominous smile. It stretches practically from ear to ear and his teeth look razor sharp. Besides the golden color, you can tell he takes excellent care of them. He looms over you with the cheshire-like smile of his as he speaks.
"How can I help you, my dear?" He speaks. You light up, excited that you finally found someone who is willing to talk to you! "Thank god, I've been waiting for someone to actually talk to me!" You say with a smile. Softening his scary grin, he laughs lightly. "You seem troubled, Darling." You notice his voice sounds raspy and unclear, like he's coming out of a radio. You cock your head and squint at him in confusion until you realize you've been staring at him. In response, he raises a brow. "Sorry, I, uh..." You stammer, not sure where to start. "Where... um... am I?" Your focus shifts around him until you meet his tantalizing gaze once more. He chuckles before saying, "This is cannibal town, sweetheart." His words gave you reassurance, but it wasn't clear enough. "Oh, no," You explained. "I came from..." You look around before pointing to your left. "Like, there, and I don't know where I am." His gaze seemed to soften, signifying he understood what you meant. "Ah," He says, following with a slight chuckle. "Why, you're in Hell! I assume you just dropped in, hmm?" Your face plasters with worry as he confirms your nightmare. As he speaks, he takes a step back and raises a hand. "Yes, well, sort of." You say. "I tried to talk to some other people, but none of them would help me." You frown. Despite all of the talking, the same strange smile stays plastered on his face. The way he's looking down at you makes your stomach churn. "Haha, lucky you, bumping into me." He places a hand on his chest. "May I have the pleasure of showing you around, miss..." He takes a step toward you, once again looming over you like a hawk. He offers his hand to you and narrows his gaze, anticipating an answer.
"Y/n." You say, nervously taking his hand. For being dead, it's surprisingly not cold. His smile somehow widens in response to your name and he looks down at your hand in his before blinking slowly. "What a lovely name," You both start to walk until he paused, his eyes widening slightly. "Heavens, I almost forgot to introduce myself!" He looks down at you with his strangely handsome face. "How rude of me," He looks away, and you can tell he is blushing, but just for a moment. "You can call me Alastor, it's a pleasure to be meeting you my dear. Quite a pleasure." He meets your gaze with a beaming smile once more. You wonder if he treats everyone like this, and if you were actually lucky that you bumped into him of all people. You didn't notice your arm that was now wrapped around his until you looked. He doesn't seem to mind, so you don't try to move it. "You as well, Alastor." The taste of his name lingers on your tongue. Somehow, it seems bitter. Your new friend walks you around and shows you where you are, in a more detailed fashion.
Eventually, he takes you to a large building with a glowing neon sign on the top, labeled with the words Hazbin Hotel on it. Great, a hotel! You think to yourself while a smile creeps slowly on your lips. You get to the door and Alastor opens it for you. What a gentleman.
Before you, is probably one of the tackiest hotel lobbies that you've ever seen. It's practically falling apart in front of your eyes, however, it's better than living on the streets. It's got light red walls with gold accents, a single sofa, a bar made out of a completely different wall, and everyone looks miserable to be there except for one person. She is bright, cheery, blonde, and bubbly. She introduces herself as Charlie. Before you can introduce yourself, Alastor chimes in, "This is my friend, Y/n. I thought she would fit in well here."
