"After we did the cover of Find Me A Girl , Clive had called us into the office for a meeting. I remember he told us that Joe Jackson was a fan of us." June spoke. "And at the time none of us knew about Michael and Genesis expect for Kenneth."

"This also around the time that Clive wanted to really play into Genesis being like a Diana Or Michael of Special Delight correct ?"

"Correct , I also was kind of hurt because I thought Genesis would've told me about the solo song since we can into this industry together." June said sadly. "I was always happy for her but it was also a weird time for the group."

𝐃𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝟓𝐓𝐇 𝟏𝟗𝟖𝟑

Genesis sat in Clive's office along with Kenneth , Spirit and June. Faith was also present with a huge smile on her face as she looked over at her baby sister who sat tiredly in the seat with her head on June's shoulder.

She had spent the night with Michael as they both watched his premiere for 'Thriller' which debuted on MTV. It was weird spending the night with a male that she wasn't engaging in sex with. It was different for Genesis to be social with a male and not be sleeping with him. She actually hadn't did anything sexual with anyone since she gave Michael head.

"Long night ?" Kenneth said to Genesis as she chuckled.

"Alright so why are we so early on a Monday morning?" Spirit asked groggily.

"Well , As you know that Essence has been doing very well. A Night To Remember and Candle Light and You." Clive spoke with a smile. "Well someone contacted me and there's been an offer set for you all to open on tour for another music group." Clive said as everyone happily smiled and clapped.

"So who's the group we're opening for ?" Genesis asked as she took a sip of celebratory champagne that Faith had poured for the group.

"The Jackson's." Faith said as Genesis spat out of the drink before she began to cough as Kenneth immediately patted her back.

"WHAT ?" Both Kenneth and Genesis said while they looked at Clive as June and Spirit happily squealed.

"I thought you would be happy." Faith said as Genesis felt stressed out.

"I'm just shocked that's all." Genesis said as Kenneth looked at her.

"How did we even get that type of offer ?" June asked.

"Well when y'all covered 'Find Me A Girl , Joseph Jackson reached out to me and told me how much he loved the cover and even the whole Essence album. He also saw y'all at The Motown 25 Show , Said he had it in mind the moment he saw y'all perform." Faith bragged. "You know it's already been in the talks but The Jackson's are having a press conference soon and we're invited to be announced as the opening act."
