TW~Halloween (being scared of it).

Y/N's POV

I never really understood the appeal of Halloween. The spooky decorations, the scary costumes, the eerie atmosphere - it all just sent shivers down my spine. But when Johnnie, Jake, and Tara insisted on going trick or treating with me, I couldn't say no. They were so excited about it, especially Johnnie. He promised to protect me every step of the way, so with a deep breath and a pounding heart, I agreed to go with them.

"You're a hot ass vampire, sweetheart." Johnnie said as he came up behind me and kissed my neck. "It's nothing special, just a tiny bit of makeup." I replied, as he let out quiet laugh.

We all dressed up as vampires, with Jake and Tara going all out with their costumes, complete with fake blood and gory makeup. I, on the other hand, kept it simple with just red and black clothing. I didn't want to scare myself even more with a scary costume.

As we walked through the neighborhood, Johnnie had his arm wrapped around my shoulders, offering me comfort and security. Jake and Tara chatted animatedly ahead of us, completely unfazed by the eerie decorations and spooky sounds around us. But I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that clung to me like a second skin.

"We're gonna have so much candy by the end of the night, like sugar rush for years!" Tara exclaimed as we all laughed.

Everything was going relatively smoothly until we reached a dark alley that led to the next street. My heart pounded against my ribcage as we entered the shadows, my grip on Johnnie's hand tightening instinctively.

"Stay close to me sweetheart, alright?" He asked, as I nodded. Suddenly, a group of teenagers jumped out from behind a dumpster, their faces twisted into grotesque sneers as they tried to scare us. They wore graphic, bloody clown costumes with masks covering their faces.

I let out a piercing scream of terror, my heart racing in my chest as Johnnie quickly pulled me behind him, shielding me from the teenagers. Jake and Tara stood their ground, unfazed by the sudden appearance of the rowdy teens. They laughed and jeered at us before running past, leaving us shaken and rattled.

As we continued our wallking down the alley, I felt a sense of unease settle over me like a heavy blanket. The teenagers' costumes had been so realistic and graphic, sending chills down my spine. Johnnie must have noticed my trembling form because he suggested we head back home, promising to take care of me.

"Hey, sweetheart, it's okay. They're gone now," Johnnie said softly, rubbing my back in a soothing manner. "Let's head home, okay? I don't want you to be scared."

Reluctantly, I nodded, letting Johnnie lead me back to his house. Jake and Tara promised to continue trick or treating and bring back some candy for us later. Once we were inside, Johnnie took me upstairs to change into comfortable clothes.

"We don't have to go back out there, okay?" Johnnie said, his voice full of concern. "I just want you to feel safe and comfortable."

Johnnie's protective arm went back around my shoulders as led me back to his house.

Once we were back at his place, we changed into comfortable clothes and settled on the couch with a pile of candy between us. Johnnie poured us both a glass of water, his expression filled with concern as he studied my face for any signs of distress.

"Are you okay, sweetheart?" he asked softly, his hand reaching out to gently cup my cheek.

I nodded, forcing a shaky smile onto my face as I leaned into his touch. "Yeah, I'm just a bit shaken up. Those costumes were so scary."

Johnnie's eyes softened with understanding as he pulled me into a tight embrace, holding me close as I buried my face in his chest. His warmth and scent enveloped me, calming my racing heart and soothing my frazzled nerves.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart. I shouldn't have pushed you to come out with us," he murmured, his voice filled with regret.

I shook my head, lifting my gaze to meet his concerned eyes. "No, it's okay. I wanted to be with you guys. I just... I'm really scared of Halloween."

Johnnie's expression softened with tenderness as he brushed a stray strand of hair away from my face. "I know, sweetheart. And I promise to protect you, always. No more haunted houses or dark alleys, okay?"

I couldn't help but smile at his words, feeling a rush of gratitude and love for this amazing guy who always put my feelings and well-being first. "Thank you, Johnnie. You're the best boyfriend ever."

He leaned in to press a gentle kiss to my forehead, his lips warm and comforting against my skin. "Anything for you, sweetheart. Now, let's forget about those scary clowns and enjoy some candy together, yeah?"

I nodded eagerly, reaching for a piece of chocolate and popping it into my mouth. Johnnie did the same, a grin spreading across his face as he watched me relax and unwind in his arms.
