Since the internet has become popular, it's being used for many purposes. Aside from being free, it can entertain you as much as you want to, provide you all the informations of the world and for the students, there's no hassle and it's more easier for them to finish their homeworks and projects. Name it, all of that is in the internet. It is easy, convenient, fast, modern and entertaining. Basically, internet is important to all of us for it is impeccably useful.
On the other hand, internet also has its own disadvantages. Is internet can help us connect with other people? Or to annihilate our connection towards one another? Yes, internet can help us when it comes to connection but, the main point here is that, can internet give us the authentic connection? All of the things that the internet offered is just temporary. People are just too preoccupied on the things that isn't important and putting a space between two people. They are too busy texting, updating their status on Facebook, chatting with their friends via messenger, playing different and entertaining games on their smartphones and many to mention. Is that the real connection that we are longing for? People are oblivious on what is really happening in their surroundings. They have many friends on Facebook, many followers on Instagram, but what if in real life? They have nothing, except for their smartphones and of course, the internet. There's a massive effect that we experienced because of the internet; we procrastinate all the time, we forget that we have a life to live and we actually lost the real contact to the real people. Internet can cause damage to our relationship with others because of cyber-bullying and other nonsense stuffs.
Therefore, the internet can cause damage to our lives if we abuse and overuse it. We should know our limitations, learn how to put our smartphones away. Engage with our community and have fun. The kind of fun that you can move your body, hang out with your friends without the necessity to bring your phone. And lastly, learn how to live.
