“We’ll explain it to her, at sa poder ko na siya. Don’t worry about her.”

Hindi ko alam. I can’t fully process what she just said.

“And this is for your own good, the training will be for your own benefit, Liberty. You wanted to improve in your field right?”

She left my condo just like that. But I guessed she is just too desperate to get rid of me here. How cruel is that, huh?

She is even willing to take Brianne just because of it, and I still believe that she has no other reason than that. It is for her own benefit at the end.

I sighed heavily as I ride the elevator, naiwan si Kuya Rene sa bahay at kung sakaling kukunin na ni Mama si Brianna ay hiniling ko na rin na sana kunin na rin si Kuya Rene which she agreed to do so.

Malapit na siya sa amin lalo na kay Brianna, and if ever I’ll go abroad, I’ll be feeling more comfortable that she is with him.

I am still mourning but I need to move as early as possible.

I opened my phone and read the last message Pierce texted me.

Pierce:
Kuya Sebastian told me something, but I’ll wait. Focus on your family first.

I closed it and bit my lips. My conscience is already bothering me and the doubts that I have are getting worse over time.

I am not even sure if he is here, but since it is Sunday, I am hoping so.

I let out a harsh breath and composed my emotions. Since the news of the death of my father was restricted by my Mama, and Pierce doesn't even know who my family is except Brianna, Pierce has no idea on it.

I slowly pushed his doorbell button and dialled his number.

“Liberty…” The moment I heard him utter my name, emotions started building up inside me.

Tumikhim ako. “Na-nandito ako sa labas ng unit mo.”

I looked at his door nervously when I heard noises on the other line and then his door suddenly swung open.

My lips parted as I looked at him, looking at me with a hard expression on his face.

He hugged me so tightly I almost dropped my phone. I heard him inhale deeply and cursed repeatedly.

I smiled bitterly.

“I miss you so fucking much.” He uttered, emphasizing each word.

He removed his one hand on my waist then caressed my cheeks softly. The more I looked at his eyes, looking at me like this, the harder it gets.

I wanted to be selfish and just felt his warmth, even if it's for a brief moment.

“You made me feel so uneasy these weeks, I am worried for you.” Galit pa rin nitong sambit.
