Josue-Younger brother of 4 years

"Let's go eat before we go to the park." Dad said, and we all agreed. So Dad took us to a Mexican restaurant.

I took my music player and put in one of my earbuds, listening to 'False Confidence' by Noah Kahan.

I followed my family as we were seated, and I slid into the booth to be against the wall, C/n to my left. My foot tapped against the ground with the music beat, and I looks up as the waitress took our order for drinks, handing us the menus.

"We'll all get water." Dad said, an we nodded. We were used to just getting water to drink, so none of us said anything. C/n however pouted. " Suck it up." I told her before she would say anything. She gave me an innocent look, gasping, placing a hand over her heart in mock offence. " You wound me with your words, dear cousin!" I rolled my eyes and opened up my menu, scanning over the good options.

" I might get the chimichanga. How about you?" I asked C/n after a few minuets. " Las Flautas." She answered, reading off the menu.

" Una chimicuanga y las flautas!" I told Dad, and he nodded. "Okay."

After a while, the waitress came back and took our orders.

While we waited for the food to come, Dad told us the plan.

"After this, we go to the park. Then we go to the hotel. There's two beds and a pullout couch. Y/n, you and C/n will share a bed. The boys will have the couch. Your mother and I will have the other bed." We all nodded.

A few minuets later, the waitress came back with our food.

We eat our food, C/n and Josue never shutting up. Yeah, they're really chatty. Once we finished our food, Dad payed and we were on our way to the park. C/n once again was gushing about the Prince.

"Its gonna be so cool, cause we'll get to be next to a statue thats magic! And its also cursed, which is scary. Uigh, Imma get a wipe and clean off his hand. I bet someone picked their nose then touched the statue." She blabbed. That made me snort.

"Yeah, no doubt his hand is filthy. Gotta get bleach for his hands." C/n nodded. "Mmhm. Some people are just nasty. Like, be considerate of all the other people who wanna take a picture with him! No one wants to touch your butt germs!"

I snickered and nodded.

"Okay, we're gonna park here and walk to the park. Its not that far anyways." Dad said, turning the truck off. I grabbed my backpack, and got out, C/n following after me. Dad lead us through the park, and I looked around in awe. Beautiful blooming cherry blossoms trees stretched overhead, blossoms covering the sky, the trees making a path to the middle of the park. A gentle breeze ruffled the blossoms, and I hummed.

"Okay, gotta admit, this place is amazing."

"Hmm. And you didnt want to come." C/n slyly grinned, nudging me. I rolled my eyes and shoved her back. "Whatever."

A couple people were taking pictures with the trees, and to my surprise, there were a couple more statues scattered around. But these were made out of stone. "Ooy, maybe those stone statues are the ones that tried to take the golden ones. Maybe they got cursed." C/n whispered. I nodded. "Maybe." As we went deeper into the park, the grass seemed greener, there were more adorable creatures and the chirping of birds increased, not in an annoying way, but in a way that sang 'This place is Magical'.
