To escape.
After all these years in the house that you're currently in and have been living since the day you we're born. All the memories, good and bad, traumas, happiness, stress, sadness, you're going to leave them all behind, all the people.
You're going start again
These were your thoughts for the past couple of months, weeks, and days, since you're going to leave in another country for college, but not only for college, for a better life, a new life.
This is your last day in Canada, tomorrow at 3 A.M you have your flight to ur new life, Japan, Tokyo.
While you were still packing the last things in one of luggage bags, your phone starts to vibrate
Sophie calling...
Sophie is ur best friend since kindergarten, she is also the best person u have ever met. She's been a great suport your entire life, her family as well.
But as soon as she heard that ur going to leave for university in japan, she calls to hang out almost every day, beside begging you not to leave and saying she is going to kick my ass if I not come back at least once at 5 months
You click the green button on the screen, then the speaker one so you can finish your thing and speak to her
"(Y/nnnnnnnnnnn)" said she in a angry and frustrated tone "you're so getting your ass woped, it's been 5 DAYS since we last saw each other and hang out, you do realize that you're going to leave tomorrow and not see each other for at least 5 months?" And with that left a sight
"I know", you said "I had to pack a lot of stuff, prepare mentally, it's not easy to leave for me either, you know that"
"That's a very good reason why you should stay here, with me" said she with a sarcastic expression in her voice
It's not easy for you to leave either, if you're thinking logically, you're basically leaving ur life behind But u still do it U wanna take that step in your life where you can start your own journey.
After the two of you talk a little more on the phone it was time to end the call.

You have already had everything set to go, it was now 10 p.m, it was now that you start to feel anxious about your decision but you won't give up on ur dream
Before you leave you wanna talk to your father, he is the only parent you have left.
After making your way to his room you knock a few times, before you hear a response. And as soon as you hear it you open the room, the room is your father's home work space, it was plain.
Inside was a couch, a table where his paper work and laptop was and other stuff, and a chair which in he was sitting in, looking cold eyes at you,
You take a few steps inside and close gently the door behind you,
"Hello father, I want to say goodbye to you before I leave.."
For a moment it's now that he realizes that ur leaving "Oh..right, well, I-uh, you need more money?" "No, it's alright, I have enough on me"
Silence.
"If anything happens you can call me" he said looking at you "I will," you look at ur watch and see that u need to leave for the airport soon "I will miss you dad."
There's silence for a moment before u hear him "yeah..me too" he said with no emotion
With that u turn ur back and leave the room, Not looking back.
Y/n never had a good relationship with her father, he lad always busy with his stupid business and never care about his kids Only about his money.
This hurt you at first, but u learned to get used to it
It was the same with your two older brothers, them and your father are more close but he was still distant.
It was the time to leave, it's now 11 p.m and you needed to get to your airport
Before you leave you wanted to say goodbye to your brothers too but you couldn't find them, "they were probably out with girls" you thought
You called an Uber to take you to the airport
You go outside with your belongings to wait for your ride, you take a look at your surroundings, the house, the neighborhood, the front garden of your home, everything. They were so plain, so boring.
Some minutes goes by and in front of you appears a car, the driver gets out of the car to help you put your things in the back of the car then gets back in the driver seat, you too get in one of the backseats
He looks in the mirror at you, then asks "where are we going miss?" He looks in his 50s, he is not that old but you can hear in his voice that he smoked for a long while and probably still does
"To the airport" you answered shortly before taking your last look at your old home.
Guess I'm really leaving..

2:19 A.M
After arriving at the airport, you spend some more time, getting some snacks, texting some friends
The airport was big, and spacious but empty of people
You were looking around when u hear an announcement.
"The plane going to Japan, Tokyo is ready, all passengers please make your way to the station 5 to get on the plane, I repeat.."
This is it! Your dream is about to come true!
You almost run to do station 5 where you get your luggage on the carousel and escorted to the plane while you wait to get on the plane
With you waiting there we're maximum of 10 people including you
"Hell yeah, this is going to be relaxing" you thought, the plane is going to be kinda empty, no childs to disturb the atmosphere, and hopefully no Karens
You then board the plane, you picked your seat to be a window one
After you got seated, it was now 2:49 in the morning, and you were already tired
But you decided to try to stay awake so you could see the view from the sky
"Miss?" A female voice said
"Miss you need to wake up, we arrived at our destination"
