Part 22 - New objective

Xiao : Yes, however you didn't say anything about the maritime presence, can you guess why?

Lowell : ... No, I don't know why.

Xiao : The Navy Section was pretty bored for not having a target to kill and they used their influence to force us to transport theirs warships.

Lowell : ...

Diana : ...

Harold : ...

Xiao : Obviously, we won't move a warship in a single travel, we will diassemble it, move the pieces to the other side and reassemble it.

Lowell : How many are we talking...?

Xiao : ... six warships.

Xiao : I will try to finish the briefing as quickly as possible. Now, I will give you the role you will play in this mission. Lowell, you will recon the area for Miriel's team and the others teams. Also you will be in charge of the operation, I am needed somewhere else. Yujin, you and your team will prevent the detection of ours forces by The Ark. Diana and Harold, you will work with Yujin to prevent the spread of information if there is a leak of ours information. Is that understood?

All : Yes, Captain Xiao.

*Some time later*

I arrive at the fortress and I begin to count the Raptures. While I'm doing this, I decide to strike a conversation with the others.

Lowell : <So, does anyone find this situation quite strange?>

Harold : <What kind?>

Lowell : <The fortress kind.>

Diana : So, you've decided to not talk about the other kind.>

Lowell : <If I ignore it, it can't hurt me. Besides, Miriel, are you hiding something from us?>

Miriel : <...>

Lowell : <I know you can hear on this channel, Miriel.>

Miriel : <...>

Diana : <On the shelf, third row, a small purple book.>

Miriel : <I was asked to not reveal this information.>

Harold : <So that's why you just send reports continously instead of visiting us.>

Miriel : <When I was on the surface, scouting for anything valuable, I felt eyes watching me and my team. I told Xiao my concerns about this issue and we created a plan to lure out the person watching us.>

Lowell : <Now that's interesting. Tell me what happened.>

Harold : <I'm listening too.>

Diana : <Me too.>

Miriel : <In summary, we have been able to take down someone from the sky, it was too far to reach it, so we have send a drone to the location. The one who watched us was apparently a Nikke from your reports Lowell, with wings and purple armor.>

Lowell : <Did you get her?>

Miriel : <Unfortunely no, right after the drone recorded her, it was destroyed almost immediatly. When we have arrived to her location, she was no longer here and the drone's wreckages were gone too. I was told after this to just note when I was feeling observed until further orders.>

Lowell : <Probably a Pilgrim, maybe Snow White knows about this Nikke?>

Miriel : <Perhaps. However we still have work to do, so are you done Lowell?>
