Part 22 - New objective

Lastly, I got news from Harold that Heavenly Ascencion have been getting some praises as they are giving food and water to the inhabitants of The Outer Rim. Harper has also come to us for help to take care of some patients who are doomed to death if we don't help them. Harold took care of them as the deal says it, any deal or contract is sacred to us. She also said that Underworld Queen, the combinaison of the three organizations on The Outer Rim is getting suspicious about the rise of popularity of Heavenly Ascension, they are now looking for the us. I hope we will not be exposed.

As for me, I was resting in my room to play some games, go for a walk, well taking a good time. I was quite stressed after all of this so I enjoyed this vacation as much as I could. I remembered after a week from taking my vacation, William asks me for informations about my world.

* Flashback*

Lowell : So, what do want, William? Is this about the bullet?

William : Uh... no. It's about you and your world in general, can you tell me more about it.

Lowell : Sure but I can't tell you about anything confidential about my office, so you will be getting general information. Is that okay with you?

William : Yes. So my first question is : What is the history of your world?

Lowell : Hmm... Originally, my world was in peace as they had been no war between two countries and all of them were democracy.

William : I see. Then what happened?

Lowell : All leaders started showing signs of corruption and the habitants who noticed this, voiced theirs concerns about their nation however this fell into deaf ears as no action were took to calm the population. In the span of 5 years, with the growing unrest of the people and the decay of their country, all government were overthrowed by their own people. The news leaders decided to prevent this situation from rising again to create a united world police named the WPO as for World Police Order. Their goal was to watch over and protect all country from any menace external or internal, they was... well, they was many sections however I will summarise as two sections : The judicial section and the military section.

William : Why only these two? The others should be worth mentioning isn't it?

Lowell : That was quite a mess  back then, the cohesion was non-existent as that time. Back on the topic, the WPO watch over and protected the world for a time. However a catastrophe will change all of that.

William : Is it like the invasion of Raptures?

Lowell : Not a invasion but more like resources shortages, the division of the WPO and a lot of bad luck.

William : I see.

Lowell : To summarise this, after four years, a massive shortage of raw materials happened and caused a skyrocket of the price of all products. The consequences was a global riot all around the world, the WPO tried to stop it via differents means peacefully however ultimately the military option was chosen to quell this rapidly. The people accused the WPO for the harsh action against them and some tension appeared inside the WPO, the military section wanted a stricter control on the population to fight against terrorists and criminals and the judicial section wanted more liberty and independance for everyone.

William : And... a war occured between these two sections?

Lowell : That would have been the case bif not for a unfortunate event.

William : What is it?

Lowell : Just some days before the tension would escalate to war, the WPO detected a large surge of energy on a distant country. When we got there...
