In the Empire City, everything was quiet in the area of Sovereign. People were going around neighbors, going to work and visiting their friends next door. In one house, a brown hedgehog was sleeping happily on his bed. He was awakened by his alarm clock, to which he pressed it before stretching his arms.
He yawned heavily and started looking for his glasses. He put it on and saw his view clearly.
"Sonic, get up! You don't want to be late for your field trip!" Aunt Aleena calls him, reminding him today is his field trip. He gasped, realizing that he forgot about his trip.
"I'm coming!" He groaned as he looked for his shoes and gloves.

He started to dress himself, as he remembers what happened to him ten years ago.
Until he was five, his parents Jules and Bernadette, were both scientists developing a cure for deadly types of diseases. One day, when leaving him in the care of Aunt Aleena and Uncle Chuck, they were on a plane to continue their research in Washington DC. But in the middle of their flight, their plane crashes somewhere on route, killing everyone onboard, including his parents. But fortunately, the plane crashed in the ocean, so no country had suffered any damage.
Ever since he lived with Aunt Aleena and Uncle Chuck, he was interested in science from his parents. From day to night, he focused heavily on science, getting the best grades, even outpacing everyone during study time. At the same time, he was looking through the internet and articles, determined to find out what caused his parents' plane to crash in the first place.
He gets out of his bedroom, wearing his clothing. He walked downstairs and saw Aunt Aleena cooking the kitchen, while Uncle Chuck was on the table, reading the newspaper. Aunt Aleena puts the toast on the table as Sonic sits on his chair.
