" Y/N, I have another mission for you and along with your companions. I strongly advise you bring backup, as this task might be far more arduous than you expect. " Said your master. His tone is noticeably firm, and he appears to be taking a more serious attitude than previously.
You can't help but wonder if the situation at hand is more powerful than whatever you previously faced together. " Understood. " You nod in acknowledgement, not wanting to waste time by asking unnecessary questions.
" Oh, What's this? Another mission given by our master? I know this will be just too easy. " Wanderer said, your companion. While your companion seemed to have a dismissive attitude towards the mission's difficulty before even hearing the details, you remained a tad more cautious.
Upon hearing Wanderer's snarky remark, you couldn't help but return with some sarcasm of your own. " Master would've thrown you to the river if he were here, and I'd just stand there and laugh at you. " He rolled his eyes, displaying a distinctly annoyed expression in response. In a noticeably calm tone, Diluc followed up by inquiring, "Alright, what's the mission about?"
" Well, it seems that rumors have been swirling around Liyue as of late. Master's tone was particularly serious when he delivered the news, which indicated that the foe might be more powerful than any we've met previously— "
Wanderer interrupted before you could finish your thought, " Why don't you fight by yourself, Y/N? It's your own nation to protect, and aren't you the second most powerful hero— "
You were quickly growing irritated and cut him off as well, " Master said to call you guys here for backup. He knew it wasn't safe to fight alone. This one is different."
Dehya, meanwhile, replied with a confident smile on her face. " No need to delay any further. Let's not waste any more time before this villainous individual has the opportunity to cause any harm. " With a sense of self-assuredness, she stood up and began stretching, evidently feeling prepared for the task at hand. Together, the group departed and proceeded back towards Liyue, with a determination to resolve the matter at hand.
Time has passed, and the moon is now glowing brightly in the night sky. You couldn't help but think to yourself,
" Still no sign of the villain yet, but I can feel the tension in the air rising... "
Dehya then placed her hand on your shoulder, causing you to flinch instinctively. " Hey, you feel something? Something just isn't right. " You noticed that Dehya had an abnormal feeling as well. There was certainly something amiss.
" You're not the only one, Dehya. " You responded with a subdued tone of voice, keeping your guard up.

As the smoke bomb exploded in front of you, your eyes immediately opened widely, and your body instinctively recoiled in response.
You shouted out a warning to your friends, " WATCH OUT- " but the thick fog caused by the device prevented you from seeing clearly. You drew your sword and kept your eyes peeled for movement, straining all your senses to detect your surroundings even though the visibility remained obscured. A shadowy figure then abruptly appeared in front of you. Without missing a beat, you slashed your blade through it, but it vanished into nothingness.
" Where are you guys? Why are you all silent?! Whoever did that, show yourself! " You yelled out frantically.
" Bow your head! " The strong winds swiftly dissipated the fog, rendering the hazy surroundings crystal clear. Wanderer emerged and touched down, landing in a manner that indicated his strength and agility.
In a distinctly concerned yet serious tone, he inquired whether you were unharmed. " Y/N, are you alright? ". You responded with a confident, if not slightly shaken, demeanor. " I'm... fine. " However, your tone quickly shifted to confusion as you surveyed your surroundings and noticed Dehya lying on the ground, as well as Diluc standing near the cliff, attentively scanning his surroundings for threats.
Diluc, also displaying a noticeable change in demeanour, approaches the pair. His expression is remarkably serious in comparison to his previous demeanour. He folds his arms and declares, " Y/N is right. This enemy is different from those we have confronted in the past. I must confess that I am impressed by their capabilities. Indeed, we must eradicate this foe immediately. "
The statement prompts you to nod in response as you then proceed to assist Dehya. You gently kneel beside her, offering your hand and lifting her to her feet.
