Y/N rolled her eyes as she tried to zone Nat out while she rounded off the reasons why they should be going to the party. If Y/N had learnt anything about being Nat Romanoffs' best friend for 4 years, it was that she would never back down when she thinks she is right. Never.
"I just don't see the point in going to some lame cheerleaders party, it's just going to be full of drunk jerks and slutty girls hanging off their arms. Not my scene." Y/N explained as she paced around her room.
"Y/N do me a favour and chill, you are over thinking this way too much. Carol Danvers throwing a huge party for the whole school is not the hell you seem to think it's gonna be."
Y/N sighed knowing she wasn't going to get anywhere in discouraging Nat.
"Fine, let's go to this shit show, if it's as crappy as I think it's gonna be I'm holding YOU responsible Romanoff."
Nat grinned shaking her head.
"Fine, you can punish me later if it's terrible, now hurry up and get ready. The fellow lesbians of Gilford High will be awaiting the arrival of their queen lesbo."
"Dude seriously, I think it's pretty clear I'm the only lesbian at Gilford, or the only one with the balls to be open about it at least." Y/N stated with a tinge of annoyance in her voice.
She had never been a one to hide away from who she really is, of course there were times when she struggled to accept who she was, but now she knows and is comfortable with it. She has no problem letting people know exactly who she is, she had always felt quite liberated that she was to her knowledge the only openly gay girl at her school.
"Right okay 10 minutes hurry up!" Nat shouted as he walked out of her room.
Y/N quickly scanned her room looking for the nearest thing to throw on. She quickly grabbed a baggy tshirt, black jeans and converse, hastily putting them on in a hurry.
As Y/N and Nat approached Carol's house, Y/N was taking in her surroundings. On the porch was a group of guys from school playing beer pong, while on the other side was one girl crying while another was slouched over her friend trying to comfort her.
Y/N groaned as she prepared herself to enter her worst nightmare, she was only doing this for Nat, and the free alcohol.
As the two of them walked in they were abruptly stopped by Kate Bishop, one of their friends from school.
Y/N quickly grabbed onto the brunettes arm as she stumbled towards her and Nat.
"GUYS where the hell have you been! Shit is getting crazy up in here, like...have you witnessed all the hotties here tonight, my lady boner is at an all time high!"
Y/N raised an eyebrow cynically as she surveyed the so called "hotties" her drunk friend was referring to.
"Um...yeah Kate you need to show me where the drinks are so I can get on your level, because I see zero talent around here!" Y/N shook her head eyeing all the males surrounding them.
Nat chuckled before mocking Beca.
"Annnnd when exactly did you even register a male who was in your company? never mind comment on their looks."
"Hey, just because I'm gay, does not mean I can't appreciate male appearances!"
"Sure Y/N, as if you see them as anything more but competion." Nat teased as she knowingly winked at Y/N.
Everything was starting to get a bit hazy for Y/N as she downed her way through the table of drinks, deciding this was the only plus to being here so she may as well enjoy it.
Looking around the crowded room she witnessed the exact same groups segregated just like it was in school. Y/N knew she was lucky to have real genuine friends, especially considering what a shitty closed off person she could be.
Downing the remainder of her cup, she glanced around to locate Nat who had disappeared a while ago for some unknown reason, catching sight of Carol and her gang, Y/N quickly retreated to the garden to have a smoke.
"Urgh as if SHE has turned up, she doesn't even socialise with the nerds, why come to my party! She has literally gone through that whole bottle of vodka." Carol was leaning against one of the tables across the room from Y/N, as she commented on her.
"Well...you did say to invite everyone, she is part of everyone Carol, just enjoy yourself. " Wanda tried to reason with her best friend. Being Carol's best friend wasn't an easy task, Wanda knew first hand this was true, but she loved no one else more than her.
"Just have fun okay, you need to de-stress."
"I know..." Carol looked away from where Y/N had just walked off from.
"And I know exactly what will be fun."
Grinning, the blonde looked back across the room in time to see where Y/N had walked off to.
"Carol, NO. I hate it when you get that look, what are you planning?" Wanda asked suspiciously, no matter how much she loved her best friend she knew how devious she could be when she wanted to be.
"Oh calm your tits Wanda and just follow me."
Carol swung around and faced the rest of her group.
"Come on girls this way." the blonde directed before leading the group of 5 girls through the wave of people.
Having no such luck in finding Nat outside, Y/N decided the safest place right now in her state was one of the quieter rooms in the house, she walked through the crowds of fellow drunks and walked into one of the rooms.
Y/N drunkenly nodded to herself in agreement that this is a good place to sit for a while, until she could locate Nat.
She slumped down onto the chair and took a large gulp from her red cup before throwing her head back in a drunken fling. Just as she was about to take another gulp she heard the door open.
Bringing her head back forward she narrowed her eyes to see who it was, of course it would be her, standing with her minions behind her. Carol closed the door behind her before making her way to the front of her group and crossing her arms.
"Look, I just needed a bit of quiet time okay, I'm literally about to leave." Y/N muttered as she tried to summon herself up from the chair, and failing miserably at it.
"Now Y/N I didn't say anything, we're just here to see if you wanted to play a game with us?" Carol explained with a smirk.
Y/N glanced at Carol with caution, the blonde had spoken only twice to Y/N in her life, both times were telling her to move out of her way.
She then looked to the side of the blonde to see the other girls staring back at her with a fake smile plastered on their faces.
Then there was her red headed side kick, her hot red headed side kick Y/N thought to herself. She didn't have the fake stupid grin on her face. She had more of an anxious look and was averting her eyes to anywhere but Y/N, this made her feel very uneasy about what was planned for her.
